these are songs that seem quite similar, you usually don't see both played at the same show

red mosquito/half full

mankind/supersonic

god's dice/hail, hail/all night

breakerfall/gonna see my friend (heavily-Who-influenced album and show openers)

Supersonic lands somewhere between Mankind, Spin the Black Circle, and U

...I don't think it is basically the same as any of those though.

red mosquito/half full are structured pretty similar though...also some time signature and roughly the same tempo.

yeah, i forgot those two short catchy ass little tunes...two of my favorites, don't know why they don't get played more often, they are probably guilty of being "too catchy"

i also forgot about the intros to wishlist and unthought known, which someone pointed out....and love boat captain would be a third one to throw in there

Amidst crowd-noise at a show, the beginnings of Save You, Spin The Black Circle, and Brain Of J could sound sorta similar.

The beginnings of animal and why go always struck me as similar, though I would never confuse them.

Immortality and Indifference have the same chord progression for their verses if I remeber correctly.. so I guess they are similar..

I have friends and family who think all pearl jam songs "sound" the same..

the verse of Hail Hail and the intro to All Night are identical (probably why All Night was left off No Code, similar songs, Hail Hail is awesome, All Night sucks)

its like 3 hits on one chord and then it hangs on the next chord for awhile

God's Dice has a similar thing in the chorus....3 hits on one chord then it hangs on another chord for quite a few hits...but then it does go to two other chords towards the end, so it is a bit different

God's Dice and Hail Hail are really the ones that are alike....quick chords changes, at almost the same rate, in the intro and chorus of Hail Hail and the verses of God's Dice
