Canadian SDX DUTY/VAT overpayment issue

    Is this the same issue or orders being sent to Australia? $70 something... not to mention being charged $169 AUD even when our dollar is buying $1.05 US.... Just doesn't make sense to me...

    Got the e-mail just before going in to see Chris Cornell tonight (amazing show btw).

    Thank you so much to the tenclub/Santos for looking into and getting to the bottom of this so quickly for me/us (I e-mailed them yesterday) You guys are THE BEST!
    As other people pointed out, we all expect there to be some kinda fee, but when the lady at the post office told me $46 I was like :o:o:o WTF! lol Relieved to see that both DHL and 10C are doing right by us :) (not that I had any doubts to begin with).

    Gonna go pick up my box set tomorrow. (I left it at the post office so I could speak with 10C first before paying that fee). Can't wait to check it out!

    Box set arrived @ my doors step just minutes ago!!!! :D

    Had to pay $26.75. Now how does this work again? We will get a cheque in the mail from DHL/10club for the whole amount?

    I did the calc. it looks like those who paid $26.75 paid the correct amount, but those that paid $46 did not. I believe we're requited to pay 13% plus a $7.25 duty fee.

    But I might be wrong.

    I paid the $26.75...I won't lose sleep over not getting a refund cheque, but I gotta admit, it's still pretty shitty to have to pay that on top of the $37.50 shipping fee..oh wells!

    I got mine on Tuesday and I didn't end up paying any charge at all when I picked it up. I was expecting to have to pay something after reading this thread.

    It's been about two months, we probably should have received something by now. I've e-mailed 10C about 3 times over the last week and a half about this and haven't gotten a response yet. I think I'm going to send an e-mail right to DHL.

    It has now been two months since I received an email from Pearl Jam notifying me that DHL would issue a refund and I still haven't received it (I'm in Toronto). I knows there's a postal strike but come one, mail delivery wasn't halted until last week. Would be really nice to get some sort of update on this from Pearl Jam or DHL or both.
