    Mom is definitely on a shortish list of things more important than PJ.

    Count me in on rooting for the weekend before. That is really the only way I'll be able to swing it.

    i know i don't have to read the threads on the-event-that-shall-not-be-named but they're giving me ulcers (at least that's what it feels like... haha) i like reading about some of the speculation but then after the hundredth thread about ticket prices, where it will be, when it will be, how the tickets will be distributed, GA or no GA, etc i'm gonna go insane just because all these speculatory threads are just that, speculation, not real announcements, and each thread makes me realize "this isn't real information, nothing is announced". i just need for some announcement to be made either way, i don't even care if tickets are $20,000,000 per person per day and it's on the moon, i just want them to get it over with!!!

    Well I can't blame people for being excited, and showing enthusiasm, but purely from a standpoint of somebody reading a message board, it has been kind of annoying. At one point the entire first page of The Porch as well as most of the second (with the exception of the Sticky Threads) was full of people either speculating it would be held in their city/country, or asking it be held in their city/country. And for the most part the only reasoning behind it was because it would be easier for that individual to get to. It would be cool if they had it in my back yard, and certainly convenient (minus the clean-up afterwards and noise violation I'd probably get), but I refrained from starting a thread about it.

    On top of that the number of posts speculating about when they will announce it, complaining about it not being announced yet, and all the other stuff seems kind of pointless to me. I mean, they'll announce it when they announce it, and chances are a lot of people aren't going to find whatever they decide to do acceptable.

    There is more speculation on this matter than there used to be speculation and theories about Lost when it was on. Which reminds me, do you guys think that Pearl Jam has been in purgatory this whole time, or that everything that has happened since Ten was just a dream? Whatever happens I just hope that Eddie and Kate hook up.

    Anyway, I can't blame people for being excited or speculating, even if I have to wade through a lot of pointless topics to find something interesting to read. People seem to enjoy the build-up and there is no harm in that at all, but like somebody else said, if you get too involved in the build-up the actual product may fall short of your expectations.

    I don't think the message board is where we'll find the announcement - that's why the band makes announcements up top on the website, so I think it's easy enough to ignore any posts that you don't want to read. That being said, PJ20 has been cancelled. :o

    IMHO ts gonna be another month or so just chill and see what happens. Seriously now. ;)

    Its gonna be leaked and when that happens, you can expect the official announcement a few days to a week later.
