Actually, Canada loved me. I hit it and quit. She's been waiting for me to call ever since. ;)

that's not what she told me. Canada mentioned that she was so (Canadian) beer-goggled when she was coerced into spreading her boarders for you, she didn't know what she was doing. she also mentioned that your car was really small, stalled half-way through, you had trouble restarting it, and it was over so fast she barely knew it happened. Smallest and quickest border crossing she's ever had.

she's hoping that you have gotten over it though and that the both of you can move on. But she's also pretty adamant that it won't happen again.

I gotta give you props on this post. Very funny. I mean that sincerely. It made my day.

But seriously, I don't think they'll have as good of showing for these Canadian shows if they happen simply because you now need a passport to get across the border.

How exactly does your last statement make any sense or affect Canada?

um, yeah I don't get that comment either :? I'm pretty positive that Canadians alone could fill up the venues for PJ without any American assistance (not that it would be unwelcome)...

that makes zero sense. Canadian venues have no problem selling out on their own. but most americans are welcome to join!

I would love to go to BC to see a Pearl Jam show. I was bummed missing out on it last time since I didn't have a passport. The setlist they put on in Vancouver was much better than either Seattle nights.

Glen Hansard announced he was opening for Vedder show's online weeks before any official 10club news was released. It's all good.

So with this, it looks dim for the South this year. Then again, I have always wanted to go to Toronto...

Yup. But, I've always wanted to go as well. I'm fairly certain I'd be able to make it, too.

All's Im saying is the passport is going to effect some people's ability to go. It may not be a huge impact in a lot of cities, being as PJ only does 10 or so shows a tour so only stop in the biggest markets. But if they do Thunder Bay again I could see it having an impact there.

And the whole thing about DUIs and not being there.....if you've been ticketed for txtng and driving, can you still get into Canada? Txting and driving is just as dangerous so you guys should probably freak out about that too.

South Americans are tweeting that PJ is coming to their countries in September. Apparently some promoter down there says so. It's all over Twitter right now. I tend to believe Mudhoney over some promoter!

txting and driving is just a traffic ticket, is it not? (I wouldn't know, I don't do that either). drunk driving is a criminal offense.

I don't either. Texting and driving, I would say, is just as dangerous. The average person takes 7 seconds to send a text. At 60 miles an hour, that's like a half mile. The severity of the offense is dependent on where you live but it shouldnt matter. Txting and driving is just as serious as DUI, imo.
