Hey guys,

A few years back Pearl Jam was trying to book Downsview for some sort of festival - or that was he rumor at the time anyways. With the news from Mudhoney leaking out it makes me wonder if Downsview could be the site of PJ20. It would make sense for them to be there...

It makes more sense that they do it in Alpine (because the place is huge) or in Indy (because it is still pretty big and also closer to the middle of the states than Alpine). But, most importantly is that both places are about 2 hours away from me. Okay, I am biased so you may want to disregard whatever I have to say!

  • Does anyone know when they are going to announce this? I've seen PJ play @ Alpine a few times. Amazing! EV said @ the last Chicago shows they've been wanting to play @ Alpine, but for whatever reasons they haven't been able to make it work.

I meant it makes sense for Mudhoney to be a PJ20 lol, Alpine is fine too, I'm just over thinking things.

Could you imagine all the whining on the board if PJ20 was a Downsview.

you might want to mention that this is in Toronto (most people on this board probably don't know where Downsview Park is)..

it would be pretty nice to have it in Toronto, but doubtful if the Mudhoney rumour is true..

Tragically Hip, Edgefest and HeavyTO are already scheduled at Downsview this summer, so the infrastructure is already there..

I'm pretty sure they said it would be in the middle of the country not middle of the continent.

Love it because anything is possible ... see, when speaking about Pearl Jam Canada & the United States is one country so that makes Toronto the middle ... haha ...

I agree, and I'm in Toronto. Plus Downsview Park has zero character, nowhere to camp, etc. Wrong venue for a two day festival.
  • Im not allowed to enter Canada. Please no.
