Looks like I'm out for soundgarden in T.O. in July. PJ in T.O and Montreal in September is a no brainer.0

Really hoping that there will be at least one Atlantic Canada show.0

Last PJ show in Victoria - Sept 25 1991, PJ20 years ago.
Don't tell me anyone is more overdue for a return visit then us. They might even be able to do 20 years to the day
Never mind 6 shows in Ontario. How about some Pacific Northwest love! 0 -
I assume you're kidding around...I mean, they are playing a show in your home province of BC, in Vancouver, which is 3 hours from Victoria.cuyler41 wrote:Last PJ show in Victoria - Sept 25 1991, PJ20 years ago.

It's been over 20 years since they played my backyard and I live in a van down by the river! :arrow:Post edited by awilkins on0 -

I'm not kidding at all. There are lots of cities that are within 3 hours of each other that have had shows in the past. How far away is it from Toronto to Kitchener or London to Hamilton?
We've had Tool, NIN, QOTSA, and many more bands play here in the last few years any of them play your backyard?0 -
Don't believe it. But i do believe this is a very clever way to make sure as few Canadians as possible go to PJ 20 Fest.

I found out the hard way in 2001 when I planned a trip to Montreal with my friends. Well we got to the border, after 3 1/2 hrs from Massachusetts. And they asked me if I had ever been in front of a judge. Well not thinking much about it, I said yes. They asked me for what, I said for a DUI. So then they told us to turn around because I couldnt enter because of the DUI!!

My friends were so pissed.   Im surprised they didnt leave me there. I would have! Haha
I was gonna take the chance in 2009 when pearl Jam played Toronto and just try to enter. But I thought better of it because I remembered that they told me that I am in the system now as trying to enter, and if I tried again, I would get arrested. This type of thing ever happened to anybody?

Why is this ridiculous? In Canada a DUI is considered a criminal offence. It's taken quite seriously. As seriously as the American border guards take pot convictions
I can't count how many people I know who were prevented from crossing the border to the south 'cause they had a juvenile possession charge.

Mudhoney to tour Canada with Pearl Jam (and do their own gigs) in September. So far: Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver.
Vedder_Girl77, you have made my entire weekend! :-D :-D :-D :-D"Well I guess there's nothing wrong with what you say, but don't sell me there can't be better ways" ~ PJ0 -
Makes perfect sense considering the movie premiere in Toronto.
Which hopefully means the band will come down to the NE once again to collect its annuity checks.

Agreed. DUI is a crime and most countries try to prevent criminals from entering their countries. It sucks if you get to the border and you don't know this.0 -
Was really hoping The Gaslight Anthem would be opening. Those guys love PJ and often do covers. I've read so many articles about their love for PJ. They even tweeted a couple months back "Pearl Jam, please take us on tour"

In 2005 I had tix to Winnipeg and Thunder Bay. When I got to the border, they asked if I'd been arrested. I said no, not thinking they'd look to see that weed charge I had when I was 18. When they ran a check and found out I had been arrested, they denied me admittence to Canada.
I asked them how long before I could come back to Canada, and they said that was up to me and the discretion of the border officers working when I tried to get in again.
So we drove 40 miles west and tried crossing at another border crossing. The officers asks "Have you ever been denied admittence to Canada?" I say "Yeah."
Officer. "When?"
ME. "About a half hour ago."

So after he threatened to arrest me, I explained to him the situation and he let us through. Fuck Canada but God bless that Canadian. The shows were awesome but Canada sucked.RC, SoDak 1998 - KC 2000 - Council Bluffs IA 2003 - Fargo ND 2003 - St. Paul MN 2003 - Alpine Valley 2003 - St Louis MO 2004 - Kissimmee FLA 2004 - Winnipeg 2005 - Thunder Bay 2005 - Chicago 2006 - Grand Rapids MI 2006 - Denver CO 2006 - Lollapalooza 2007 - Bonnaroo 2008 - Austin City Limits 2009 - Los Angeles 2009 - KC 2010 - St Louis MO 2010 - PJ20 Night 1 - PJ20 Night 20 -

Ohh shit I'd be ALL OVER THAT!!
Is that twitter site really official?? It's not verified and I can't find anything to show it's official. Plus they talk about Mudhoney in the third person."Rock and roll is something that can't be quantified, sometimes it's not even something you hear, but FEEL!" - Bob Lefsetz0 -
