hell, jerry seinfeld gobbled like a turkey on it, guesting as A TURKEY with no considerable lines
BTW Jerry didn't actually voice the turkey.0 -

If Radiohead can appear on South Park, Pearl Jam can appear on The Simpsons!
Ya, but the simple fact is...............why would they want to. I keep reading should they, should they, but give one reason why they would WANT to. Ya, I can't think of one neither.
I can pull a monkey out of my ass too, watch. Should Pearl Jam have appeared on Macgyver? I think they guys should have went on the show, I mean, why not?
See, if something doesn't make sense...........why debate it.
I think it's safe to say Pearl Jam will not be appearing on your cartoon.0 -

and my question would be why wouldnt they?
my feeling is it may well feel like tokenism to the band and they may well get on their high horse about that.... but in the end tis just amusing imo.hear my name

Well, it's always fun to watch stars appear on The Simpsons, I'm a huge fan and everytime I watch it, I just have to check who was guest voicing in this or that episode, but yeah, I love the show a whole lot, but it's not as it used to be, it doesn't suck, but it seems like they kind of lost their touch, although the movie was awesome, their episodes are kind of strained.
As for PJ on The Simpons, that'd be awesome and funny, but I don't think the band would want to, I mean why? it's not exactly for fun, in PJ's eyes it might be commercializing a bit, but I don't know, as much as it would be awesome, why should they do it? there's no real motive for it....."Does anyone remember laughter?"

I remember hearing that in a behind the scenes simpsons type show....
i definitely have heard that was the episode they were approached about, and i think Bob Dylan was approached about it too. no real proof though..
would have been a good episode to be in, then again, could have been highlighting a phase of the bands career that had already been left behind.0 -

Bob Dylan was also approached to be Homer's spirit guide after he eats the Guatemalan Insanity Peppers. He said no, so they used Johnny Cash, which helped make an awesome episode.
As far as Pearl Jam appearing I think the Homerpalloza episode would have been ok, but I think I would have prefer something a little more random, like Elton John, or Ringo's appearance.0 -

Yeah, I guess Jerry's agent contacted Trey and Matt and said that Jerry wanted to be a guest voice on the show. So they came back and told him he was going to be turkey #5 or something...I guess it didn't go over to well with Jerry haha.

there are a few referances to pj, the one episode where selma adopts a baby from china, the citizens start questioning everything, one of the questions is "why doesnt pearl jam come here?" and of course the sign held up by jimbo in the episode where mr burns is the alien.Small my table, seats just 3, its not crowded, its just lucky me0

He was on the cover of RS last year, or some time. He's not so against commercialism as he once was...based on my observations.
I think the reason is that The Simpsons suck........They should be on South Park though!96-Prague

LOL, awesome line, but here's a fun fact for you: Courtney Love was supposed to be in that episode and she was supposed to be in that joke. It was orginally, "Courtney Love", "Homer Hungry." Foe whatever reason, Love wasn't in the episode and the joke was rewritten for the Smashing Pumpkins, and I think it worked better with Billy.Down in the hole, Jesus tries to crack a smile beneath another shovel load.0 -
from what i understand they declined to be on the show due to the fact that the creators of the simpsons retain the rights to the animated images and the pearl jam camp wasn't into that idea.0

WHOA let's settle down. the simpsons NOW suck. seasons 1-9 were amazing. probably the best cartoon ever made. and guess what... the simpsons were an influence on south park.... uh oh0 -
If they did, most people around here would scream sell out so its probably best it doesn't happen. As if having some fun on a beloved american television show is selling out, its ridiculous but, thats the Pearl Jam world we all live in.The Official Matt Cameron appreciation signature!0
