Update Pearl Jam App

It's time for the PJ App to be updated with some PJ20 shwag. I'm tired of Backspacer magician guy blinking his eyes at me when I fire up my app.

    It needs to be updated for the iPhone 4's retina display as well. Looks like shit. It crashes all the time as well. Also, whatever happened to PJ radio being incorporated into the app???

    They did say that PJ Radio would be added to the app...and it is in need of an update.

    Speaking of updates for the app.. Can we possibly get some kinda update for looking at the forums on an iPhone? I dont know bout the rest of you, but if i try going to the site on my phone, I cant read any text without doing a copy/paste into notepad or something, its highly annoying.

    radioactive. i only have that problem when I use safari on the iphone. if you use the app itself, all should look clean

    Normally that would work just fine, but the app keeps crashing on me, so ive just bout had enough of using the thing until someone gets around to doing updates on it.

    Before that, they should consider reversing the iPhone safari sabotage they did to the pearljam.com. Before the paid app, the website and forums were just fine on a black background. Once the paid app came along, the background conveniently turned white and nothing is viewable. I emailed them a few times about it, and they said they were working on it, but then eventually they advised me to just pay for the app. There is nothing in that app that would cause me to pay $3. That should be free to 10club members.

    Ok, fine. They really want $2 that badly. So, you buy the app, just so you can use the board again, but you find out it's like a "lite" version of the site. You can't read or write PMs, can't see avatars, can't view "most active topics", can't "view your posts", and other issues. Why not just leave the board alone? It was working fine before. Better than fine before. Why change what worked perfectly to something which doesn't do half the things the site does? Why disable the board for all ipods and iphones?

    Instead of dealing with that sillyness, I bought a Droid phone. Guess what? The board works! Just like on a computer. Since there's no android app, there's no reason to sabotage the site to get people to buy an unnecessary app.

    So, please don't design an android app.

    And, if you're feeling particularly nice 10c, please allow the board for work again ipod/iphone users. I mean, really.

    at least a graphics update is in order...
    That has to be easy...

    all the other stuff is hard i guess....
    But if you do fix hard things like radio and forums and stuff, please can you make it so i can see my PM's on the app, and reply to them... Otherwise, what's the point of the forums being there in the first place?

    I agree.. It's very clear why the board doesn't work for iPhone users, and it's because it now cuts into further potential profit. You'd think our membership fees would be enough to make us privy to a well-designed mobile site.. Or maybe one that works at all. For any iPhone or iPod touch users, I have two suggestions:

    1) Download the SkyFire browser on the App Store ($2.99 - and a far better investment than the Pearl Jam heavily outdated app), which enables some Flash videos on the internet, in addition to being a solid browser which has a function to view a website as it appears on your choice of iPhone, iPad, or Desktop.

    2) Jailbreak your iPhone or iPod touch (PM if you'd like help, I'm a nerd in my spare time), and install User Agent Faker, which will also allow your iPhone to load websites as if they were being observed by a regular computer.

    I do this when I got to website to check PMs. So PM access on the app would be a nice bonus too.

    Oh, if thats the case, no need for an app. For some reason I was thinking it was cool different thing than just a lite version of the site.
