Does the crowd stand?
I would hate a sitting crowd.

In Adelaide, night one, they stood for alot of it. I know I did (sorry people behind me, I couldn't help it). For Porch, EVERYONE stood up.

No. Everyone typically sits for most of the show. It's not a "rock concert" atmosphere. I've seen him 3 times and this has been the case at all of them.0

It is mostly sitting but on my little side on the right, we stood up for the more upbeat songs.
It's too hard to sit down during Porch, once again, sorry people behind me. :roll:Post edited by Loulou on“ "Thank you Palestrina. It’s a wonderful evening, it’s great to be here and I wanna dedicate you a super sexy song." " (last words of Mark Sandman of Morphine)

An Ed solo show is like being together around a circle @ the old camp fire, but it's all taken in @ a small music theater. If Ed's sitting the majority of the whole show, the fan's should do so as well, with respect with other's sitting @ the show in front & behind. But when he breaks out Hard Sun @ the end when he's jamming & bringing fan's up on stage, then you can stand. Or anytime Ed's standing & playing guitar wildly.0

Yeah, that's right. There are songs you do sit down for and just take in how amazing they are and then there are some that you do really get in to and stand for.demetrios wrote:An Ed solo show is like being together around a circle @ the old camp fire, but it's all taken in @ a small music theater. Well said. The biggest thing is to be respectful of Mr. Vedder and those around you. This will not be Halloween night in Philly, but it will be a totally unique and awesome experience nonetheless. Besides, does it really make sense to be standing and yelling for "Girl From The North Country" or "Society"?0 -
I had a wanker behind me yelling Rats all night!Heisenberg wrote:demetrios wrote:An Ed solo show is like being together around a circle @ the old camp fire, but it's all taken in @ a small music theater. At an Ed solo show, I generaly yell "FUCK YEAH EDDIE, THAT SHIT WAS TYT"
in all caps. then make a loud noise that sounds something like "PAW"
then, I come back here and listen to all the people bitch and moan about how we are supposed to act... 8-)0 -
I think alot of it is down to the mood that ed is in too....i went to the 3 brisbane gigs...night 1 he eased in to it, so it felt right to sit and enjoy him slowly lifting the pace....hes a master....also important to note that he sits down thru it all too( up til hard sun )....some of the songs I and am sure he just wanted silence in the room so he could get lost in the song....this happened alot and I just sank in to my seat and thought "fuck theres no where Id rather be right now..."0

^^^^^ sorry i was writing the above as some of you said the same type of thing!!!

There was some idiot yelling 'You can do it' too. The first time it was kinda funny but then the second time, third time, fourth time, fifth time really started to piss me off.
The other thing that got to me was when you do sit down and it's a mellow song, there were people getting up and down getting beer every 2 seconds. I was sitting there thinking what the hell???? Why didn't you just go down to the pub?“ "Thank you Palestrina. It’s a wonderful evening, it’s great to be here and I wanna dedicate you a super sexy song." " (last words of Mark Sandman of Morphine)

in all fairness, i never speak over song or ed...
and I like beer with my music and night outPost edited by usamamasan1 on0 -
Hate those yelling people. Just keep your mouth shut and let everyone else enjoy the show.
You can feel the vibe, you will know when standing and dancing is appropriate. If you can't help it, we had people on the sides of the theater up the whole night, but they were out of the way and the ushers let them do it. Maybe different at every venue.Thank you fellow 10 clubber for saving my ass....again!!!0 -
Yeah, well it's the same with me standing. I never stood through anything inappropriate, just when it felt right and others stood up.usamamasan1 wrote:in all fairness, i never speak over song or ed...“ "Thank you Palestrina.
