ive seen them many many times through this 20 year ride i do agree with the energy in the early 90's its something that could never be replaced i remember seeing them at csu in cleveland in 92 awesome but if i had to pick one tour i think they hit there highest peak with the 2000 tour the band was at its best and the band's energy still was similar to what it was in the 90's. I think they still sound great live but I dont see that intense energy as we did in past years. But with that said out 30 plus shows my two favorites will always be Montreal 05 and Grand rapids in 06. There was something strange going on that night in Grand rapids it was almost like it was 1996 rather than 2006 ;) The montreal show the energy in that crowd was something that hasnt been topped yet (to me) and thats even with having the worst ten club seats i had yet.

That Grand Rapids 2006 show was the one where they "screwed up" the fan club seats and all the good numbers were in the back and the normally bad numbers were up front. Tons of people had great seats that never usually got a sniff of the stage....and the band responded to all the new faces. At one point near the end of the show, Vedder says "Grand Rapids, huh? Who knew?"

Besides Soldier Field 1995, may favorite show I've ever been to.
yes they did screw the seats up that night but i do remember alot of people complaining on this fourm about the lack of energy in the crowds before that show. so who knows maybe they did it on purpose but it worked out for me that night. i used to have a number in the 125's i was severly injured in a bad work accident and took along time to get back on my feet. in that time i let my membership expire and then renewed it several years later now im in the 280's. so that night it was like a blast from the past and i sat 7th row center stage. not that 280's get me bad seats anyway. aslong as im in the building i'm happy. but i do remember jeff throwing it up to my beat up 1980's seahwak hat several times and i know this may be wishfull thinking but at one point during the encore eddie was sitting on stage right after off he goes i yelled as loud as i could "play around the bend" eddie stopped and said"i have another idea to fuck with you some more would you like to hear around the bend. we havent played it or practiced it so at this time we would be fucking with ourselves" even though he did mess the words up a little it is still my favorite pj moment in 20 years. i have two kids and spent many many hours rocking them to sleep singing that song
