ATTENTION ALL TICKET BROKERS:
I tried for Benaroya (7/16 show) on TICKETMASTER for 1 hour non-stop right at 5PM. Probably searched over a 150 times over and over again. Very disappointed I couldn't even get one seat. And I know I'm not the only fan that got left out... There's tons. But guess who managed to get a shit ton of tickets!?!?!?? Ticket brokers!! Imagine that.
All I know is that there is a very certain somebody that needs to get punched in the face, and I mean like really fuckin hard. This certain somebody either works for Ticketmaster, a ticket broker, or both. Why ticket brokering is legal - I don't know. Somebody needs to get to the bottom of this. Ticket brokering - A real nice way to make a profit - no skill or soul required. Just hog all the tickets from real fans then turn around and sell them for double or triple. Easy enough. It works out good because you don't have to be good at anything, other than buying tickets. Hell I'm smart enough, I could probably be a great ticket broker. But I'm not a cocksucker so it probably wouldn't work out.
If you're a ticket broker, would your parents be proud of what you do? The answer is no. They probably wish they would have coat hangered you before you were born. The next time I have to buy tickets from ticket brokers - I need every ticket broker involved to line up outside the venue when the concert is over, then I am going to punch each and everyone of them directly in the cocksucker... Then we can call it even. That should make up for me spending my hard earned money - which was earned by participating in society as a functional member, not as a money grubbing leach. So if you're a ticket broker and you just read this post, go fuck yourself.
Everyone else, sorry for the language I know this isn't a truck stop. Just angry. And I would feel slightly better if I knew at least one ticket broker read what's written above. Take care!

I just had a conversation about this very problem with 10c today. I sent them an email regarding this very problem and they promptly responded saying that they have battled this issue for many many years and that the laws in this country protect this practice and until we can get the laws changed we're kind of shit out of luck. We need to unite this entire fan club on this issue. If we all pitched in the government can't ignore a million voices. Then again, they've ignored the masses time and time again. Not to say give up, but if there is a way to make a spectacle on a grand scale, I'm willing to participate in changing the system.

They are fucking vultures, Go there on the day of the show and hopefully you can find them at a decent price. They take advantage of people who panic and pay way to much the tickets always come down closer to the show date. It's been going on forever :( I recall in high school in 1989 reading the newspaper classifieds and seeing an ad for Grateful Dead tickets for sale. I hadn't heard of any new concert so I called Ticketmaster. They said they had no knowledge of any new concerts. So I called the number in the paper - sure enough it was a ticket broker. He told me the show would be announced next week and he'd have the tickets available the same day TM would. I asked him how and of course got no explanation only that I could get the tickets or not. And that was all legal. :shock:
Meanwhile some poor schmuck outside the arena selling a ticket for $10 over the ticket price will get arrested for scalping. Go figure.0 -

I live in Australia and scalping tickets is ILLEGAL and tickets are attainable to real fans. I'm empathetic that American laws don't seem to protect real people. Hopefully things will begin to change.0

I agree...the system sucks...me and 2 other friends tried right at 10am for the 2 NY shows with no luck! In fact, the Beacon website linked my friend right to a broker who was selling 4 tickets for over $750!!! A scalper in Toronto shows up in a Purple Lambo, gets out after he parks it where everyone can see the fuckin purple heap of trash, and starts selling tickets and then drives away.

As long as we, the fans, continue to buy these tickets at the scalper's inflated prices, scalpers will continue to exist and thrive. The way to beat them is to not give in to temptation by buying tickets from them. I refuse to, no matter how badly I'm dying to see EV live. I missed out on both presales, and I'm looking at ebay, and the prices make me want to puke. I am a normal guy with a wife and kids, and I can't justify paying $200 for a ticket to see EV.0

Cant figure out how The Philly show was sold out at 10:00 am when they went on sale at 10:00 am. Wanted to take my 8 year son to see Ed but that doesnt look like its gonna happen. Its an absolute disgrace how these brokers get away with this. Hate disappointing my kids.0

i remember going to Chicago theater box office for Widespread Panic tickets one time and the first 5 guys in line were hired mexicans, what can you do. Oddly enough when i went in to buy my max allotted tickets in cash the jerkoff printing tickets gave me a hard time for buying so many with cash. It just so happened that we were getting married the same weekend panic was doing 3 nights and we had a bunch of people that wanted to go to as many nights as possible, the wife and i only went to sunday.0
