I wasn't going to buy this. Just heard it and compared it to the original. Now I'm going to buy it.

What are they doing now with the sound that totally improves on 1993?

I didn't expect much, but wow. Not Ten remix better, but a clear improvement. Sounds less muddy. Clearer.

Where can I hear samples of the new mix? I've been weighing whether to get it myself.

The Ten Remix was horrendous. The dynamic range was brick walled to the point of clipping. Detail and clarity were lost in the resulting muddy wash. It was a clear victim of the Loudness War:

That's why I wasn't so interested in the Vs. reissue when I first heard about it. But, the fact they label the vinyl "audiophile" implies it will be mastered in a way that maximizes dynamic range instead of volume. Unfortunately, I suspect their use of that term is merely marketing and it won't really be mastered to audiophile standards.

Nevertheless, I'm interested in hearing it for myself or reading a review by an audiophile in case the release is really worth picking up.

I'll be giving it a critical ear when it arrives in my mail...hopefully today.

I don't understand how Vs. could sound any better.
