Pearl Jam are planning a big festival in the late summer to celebrate their 20th anniversary. Drummer Matt Cameron divides his time between the two bands, so it makes sense that Soundgarden might get invited to play too. "I haven't heard anything about that," says Cornell. "Whether it makes sense or not depends on if you're Matt. He might not want to get carpal tunnel syndrome."

A dream for fans would be a reunion of the early Nineties grunge supergroup Temple of the Dog, which also featured Cameron on drums. "We could also get Matt to play in a few other bands," laughs Cornell. "He could just play until basically he has to go to the hospital."

It also sounds like SG is not touring any time soon, going to finish the album first.

Maybe he has, maybe he hasn't - good chance he does though and just because he gets asked the question does not mean he has to fess up. Jeff has spoken about the group keeping things in house before, and if you speak out of turn you get a nice little smack on the wrist. I'm sure Chris is pretty used to working the same way.

Yea I read this the other day. Interesting he hasn't been asked but he could just be playing it down and not letting the worms out of the cans.

Like how can you have PJ celebrating their 20 years with NO Soundgarden?! or AIC

Why do I get the feeling Cornell wasn't under oath when he said that?

Id love SG and AIC to play a show with PJ it'd be a dream cone true but I can't see either of them playing PJ20. I also highly doubt they'd do a full TOTD reunion there either, hunger strike if we're very very lucky. I want to believe the "friends" they'll bring to PJ20 will be those guys but I don't want to get my expectations up and then be let down. I hope Brad are there, mudhoney would be cool. I love ben Harper but saw him join the guys at MSG and Hyde Park so although id love it, it'd be nothing new. Loads of others but to many to list, oh Neil would be amazing!
