This is awesome! Thanks for listening to all of the feedback! I think this will work. Sort of a hybrid of 2000 (1 pair per tour) and 2003 & beyond (multiple shows). There was always a hometown advantage argument and this is a good way of addressing it. When the bell rings, most people will first opt for their hometown. Then at a later day, it's a free for all for travelers. Thanks for listening and trying new things!

" ***NOTE: In an effort to spread the ticket love around as much as possible there will be a limit of 1 pair (2 tickets) per member for the entire tour on the first day (Tuesday, March 29) of the ticket sale. Starting at 9am Pacific on the second day (Wednesday, March 30th), any remaining tickets will be opened up for purchase regardless of whether or not you have tickets to another show. You will be able to purchase one pair for any or all remaining shows still up on the site at this time."

I like the new system but I honestly don't think there will be any tickets left on March 30th.

Small venues + high demand = Sold out shows

If this is the case and these shows sell out and people get shut out, then the miscalculation may be the venues selected. In Los Angeles, for example, the Wiltern is pretty small. There is stuff out there, like the Greek or Universal, or LA Nokia, which are a little bigger. Less intimate but at least people get to go vs. not go. If it weren't for my friend (who got lucky after an hour as I got shut out) taking me to the Wiltern, all I would have is the DVD this May. There are venues bigger than the Wiltern, smaller than the Greek.

I hope they continue this policy for PJ shows. And maybe one more thing. For the people going to their 1st selected show, have those seats forward, in better positions up front. Then for all other shows, the usual treatment. Maybe that would be too hard to implement. But this is a great step.

I really like that they didnt give a heads up to sign up for the 10C. members should be responsible enough to renew on their own and I think the heads up just gives scalpers a chance to sign up, pick up tickets at the show and flip em (and if they hit the lottery, watch out!).

the one show deal sucks for me but I think it's fair for small venues.

I just wish they would've used paperless tickets to thwart TicketMaster and the scalpers.

i say add the same policy to PJ shows... everyone should have a chance at at least one show before some are buying up tickets for every show of the tour

Yes, to all of the above...except that this is the first time EVER that I would have gotten a membership for me and hubby just to go to Portland and Seattle! We do not live close, but planned a vacation 3 months ago that has us in the area! It would have been nice to see Ed twice in a weekend (assuming we are lucky enough to get tickets!)
