It's also the greatest form of disrespecting Pearl Jam and the guys who came up with the Yield cover.

Well, not the greatest, but, you know...it's pretty high up there.

    Indeed....

The next time I need a cover for an album, I'll just...pretend...that I've never heard of Ten.

Ten is different. it sold over 10 million copies. it's a famous album cover; the all for one and one for all deal.

it's like if you held a copy of Dark Side of the Moon and a copy of Final Cut up to some typical music fan. which one is he going to recognize?

Its possible, but don't forget, Matt Cameron was the drummer on a Geddy Lee solo album. So there is a connection there.

That Snakes and Arrows disc is really pretty good, and I love Yield.

That comparison never really occurred to me. I'd frankly be surprised if Rush saw the Yield cover and said, "Hey, that's a good idea...let's steal it!" I doubt we'll ever know, but I'd be really surprised.

Seeing Rush on Tuesday and looking forward to it...they play long (2 hour-plus sets plus encore) and rock live, it's a good show if you've never seen 'em...

the album they showed on the colber report was not the studio record it was live album. the studio record actually kinda looks like no code.

I saw em last week at Jones Beach in NY. Good setlist, band was great. But, the crowd was LAME. People sitting down, not singing along. Pretty sad. A good 1000 people left before they came out for the encore.

A road and a sign ... somehow, in the grand history of albums, I doubt PJ were the first to incorporate such artistic mastery.

I think the symbols are connected to Neil Peart's time away from the band and his book about his trying to deal with his losses and getting back to music. The book is called "Ghost Rider" and is about his motorcycle trip around North America - hence the road sign symbolism.

    That's right...we Canadians all live under a rock ...

So, how about everyone stop over-reacting?...big deal. I'm sure you'd find other album covers that are like "Yield", which is fairly unimaginative, at best.
