Who's the worst band a couple members of PJ like?

U2 !!! I dont know if people from the board like Linkin Park or not but they are the worst band of all time...0

I'd say take it easy on bands like Kings of Leon, MMJ, and Ted Leo. Nobody sounds good playing to a 25% full ampitheater when the sun is still out. Check out their albums or look at their appearances at smaller venues when they have much better sound.
While I didn't like Kings of Leon's newest album, their first two have tons of fun rock songs and MMJ is fantastic. Their past two appearances at Bonnaroo have been classic shows and they're becoming one of the best live bands out there.
As much as I hate Gene Simmons for licensing his band name on everything imaginable, KISS definitely has 5 to 10 great classic tunes. Aside from that though, they deserve the bashing.0 -
EF you S-K haters.
MMJ and KOL are possibly the most boring and lame rock bands out today. I have no clue why PJ enjoy them.Horry Kow!0 -
I actually like Ted Leo/Rx0

Well, that's true as well. KOL blow goats.0 -
You're high. MMJ are amazing.Kosuke Fukudome wrote:Kiss rules.
Also, the answer would be Kings Of Leon and My Morning Jacket.0 -
Sleater-Kinney are actually pretty phenomenal, but I guess PJ fans who only enjoy PJ, AIC, Soundgarden, and Nirvana wouldn't understand a band as talented as they are.
It's a shame Eddie wastes time in trying to find good openers when the stupid 25-40 year old fans just shit on them because they don't understand.Horry Kow!0 -
Salman Rushdie would NEVER say that.reborncareerist wrote:AKA Sleater "We piss all over RITFW ... While squatting, of course" Kinney.0 -

If its any consolation, in my book S-K > KOL/MMJ. They are at least somewhat unique, and I will concede the musical talent. Cannot handle large doses of the singer's voice, is all, and the guitar player is a punker, clearly. She should not try to pull off McCready-style solos.0 -
Sleater Kinney
And yeah im hearing bad things about ted leo as well... i checked out a few of their tracks and i wasnt impressed.0 -

Mike needs to drop the Kiss guitarists & listen to more Charlie Christian - his playing would be a lot better for it.
Mike's playing is just fine, and like you said, Kiss was an earlier influence on what his does. He branched out later. He hasn't "stuck" with Kiss, although you can still hear the influence.0 -

That probably came across as sexist ... I didn't mean it that way.

I listen to good artists, it still doesn't help my playing.

As for Kiss, I grew up listening to them in middle school in the early 2000's and they will always have a spot in my heart.
And this thread kind of turned into a opening band discussion, not actual bands the members like.
One last thing, I do agree that most people here feel like they can only like Pearl Jam or they aren't a true fan. My Morning Jacket is amazing. But to each their own.Happiness is only real when shared0 -
