$106 (AC Moore)- $119 (Michaels) for the MSG1

$85 (AC Moore)- $105 (Michaels) for the Camden 2

    ouch...I hate irregular sizes!

Be very wary of Michaels.....if you're looking for good framing go to a mom and pop shop. Just trust me I know a framer and Michaels is a factory type place...with people that come and go at all times...and aren't very skilled.

It was the UV glass that was expensive..the frames were 50% discounted

im sure it was nothing against your mom personally... unless your mom decides on the prices herself... the main problem is that for the quality of work you can get it for much cheaper elsewhere... even hobby lobby is cheaper... with both of those places though ya never know how much training the frame department really has (atleast with my experiences there: glass put in backwards, dust and shit stuck in there, picture wire installed upside down, etc)

not to try to take work away from your mom :p

Didn't mean it that way bro...seriously.

A lot of college kids work there and I've heard dreadful stories of people not being careful with valuables. Lets say you bought your Pearl Jam poster there....get it framed....if you didn't know any better, you'd just get it framed.....the college kid isn't going to be concerned that it's valuable to you....and guess what....they may just glue your poster to the matting...which is a huge no no. Did they care...probably not....when you go to change the frame or in a hundred years your grandkids want to reframe it.....X it's ruined. Just trying to help.

That's funny I have kind of had the opposite experince when getting frames done, so maybe it was a Canadian thing. I took my 05 ottawa poster around to get some quotes. There were a few little small time shops that weren't really good at answering questions and seemed to think the best thing to do was an irrversable dry mount. Then I went to Michels who had the best prices by far. The people seemed to be much better at answering questions and explaining to me exactly what I was getting. Plus at the time their top level glass was being discontinued so they sold it to me for the cost of mid level glass.
