10yrs ago...I didn't know they were that old And do u mean Goodbye as in from Jack's Brokedown Melody? Suddenly doesn't make this uke album as exciting....still stoked for Eddie on so many levels for putting it together & releasing a uke album....just misunderstood I guess, and thought it would be 'new' stuff.
Yes that old...i believe he wrote many of the songs during a particularly difficult time in his life that we cannot discuss on these boards. I believe it was around 2001 but could be slightly off.
At any rate, my best guess (and its just a complete guess), is that the album will probably include some of those older tracks and some new ones written in the last few years.
I guess his uke songs are not for everyone but i'm very VERY excited for this release.
Shows: Montreal 98, Barrie 98, Montreal 00, Montreal 03, Montreal 05, Ottawa 05, Toronto 06, Vancouver Night 1 08 (EV), Vancouver Night 2 08 (EV), MSG1 08, MSG2 08, Montreal Night 2 08 (EV), Toronto Night 1 08 (EV), Toronto 09, Hartford 11 (EV), Ottawa 11, Ottawa 16, Ottawa 22.
I don't think that track list we saw a week or so ago is official by any means. Hell the 3 new songs he has played in Australia aren't even on that track list. I think it was bogus.
It might very well be fake, but i'd be willing to bet anything that a number of those old uke songs are on this new release.

Well none of the new ones he has played were on that track list. It was obviously fake.

mum's the word and quite rightly so!
Me to, very excited. Every other song accompanied by the uke that Eddie/PJ has releaased/performed always makes my day. May I ask if your guess-work is based on any thing 'real' or just hunches? Just curious.
if I keep holding out,.... will the light shine through?
Well none of the new ones he has played were on that track list. So I will believe it when I see it.
So you really think that the new Uke album isn't going to contain any of those older uke songs from 2001/2002? Then why are we hearing a full blow studio release of Longing to Belong today?

I know for one of the new ones he played he said that he wrote it a week ago, so that means it wont be on the album. No idea on the others.

I have absolutely zero inside knowledge.
But the "uke" album has long been hinted at. We all know he wrote a bunch of songs on the uke in early 2000s and we've heard a half dozen of these songs over the years, notably during his solo tours from the last few seasons.
Then today we get the leak of a fully conceived, studio recording of a song that's been around for 10 years....Longing to Belong.
I just think its a very safe bet to assume that many, if not all, of those uke songs we've heard on various bootlegs will be on this official release...mixed among newer songs that those lucky Aussie crowds are getting to hear.

Ok i misunderstood. Of course i agree with you that the track listing was most likely fake.

When you put it that way, it makes total sense! And yeah, Aussie fans are extremely lucky to be sharing it all with Eddie now.

Apparently Eddie said at Brisbane night 2 that it will be released in June...he credited Kelly Slater for the project.

I'm very excited for this album! I've heard most of the older songs that he has played live in the past but it will be cool to have a studio version of them...plus the new songs he has been debuting in OZ!
I really really hope the rumor about another solo tour of the US is true...it would make my summer!
Right to be fair almost everyone thought that the leaked Backspacer tracklisting was fake too and that one turned out to be 100% accurate.
I'm skeptical about the Ed leaked tracklist, but i wouldn't completely dismiss it either.

Wait tell me somebody messed with this and its not the same list that was posted last week. This one is clearly, obviously 100% fake.

rumors are pointing in the direction of a summer tour of the US. a few east coast locations have surfaced

did you believe "love boat captain" when that tracklist was leaked??
