Why exactly is this an idiotic post? It says in the Wiki article for Binaural that "Vedder has admitted that while working on the album he suffered from writer's block, which made it difficult for him to come up with lyrics.", so I guess it's a legitimate question? :? The article even cites a reference: http://www.nyrock.com/interviews/2000/pj_int.asp - so to answer the OP's question, yes it's apparently true...

NYROCK:
On the last track of the album one can hear you frustratingly hacking away on your typewriter. Rumor has it that you were suffering from a severe writer's block....
EDDIE:
I almost went completely crazy. I kept changing the lyrics and then changed them again, just to write another version. I ended up with several versions and then used the best and just put them together and that worked surprisingly well. But before I did that, I thought it would never happen, I'd never be able to finish it.
Is the post supposed to be idiotic because he should've already known this, or because it's not really true? :?

Writer's block? Binaural had the most (and best) outtakes of any PJ record. I can't see how he can claim he had writer's block when they came up with a 13-song album as well as Sad, Fatal, Education, and In The Moonlight.
Now...a 35 minute record where the lead single is The Fixer could be called a case of writer's block.
Can we get this guy banned? His posts are idiotic.
Is it just me, or is this not a far more idiotic post than the OP?

Wikipedia is a fine source as long as the stuff is double checked. If its cited with a source at the bottom it takes two seconds to verify. People that write it off as always incorrect are the ones that are incorrect. It can be helpful if used right
There's no reason to doubt Eddie had writer's block when he was working on this album. It happens to every songwriter. But... obviously he got over it.

That has some of Eddie's best lyrics.

...I remember one day leaving the cd go loud and then this came in and I was like...WTF is that...I may have been twisted that day...but it threw me off at the time
