I have an exciting interview next week, which would turn my world upside down (hopefully in a great way!)...

but, would it be a bad idea to tell them that I would possibly need off the last weekend in aug, labor day weekend, or the weekend following that for pj20?? Because the 6 month probate time wouldn't be up so I couldn't call in sick yet.... Maybe I will just use the ole "I'm in a wedding that weekend" thing- did that for the Philly shows.... Decisions, decisions. Or, I am donating a kidney one of those weekends..... Do you think I am over-thinking this a bit?

Do what you gotta do. Priorities. Wedding works nice. I have also been known to say nothing then get really sick. It takes a bit of performance, but it is a tried and true way.

    What is the interview/job?

    Exactly- priorities!
And, I am excellent at faking things.

Its a tech position (asst. nurses/drs/social workers) in a alt. psych hospital. I get to be their bitch while I study the world around me and finish school.

As for whats in my head- the world is crashing down, all around us.
Prayers and good vibes to all the families and friends affected by this disaster.

How all of this other stuff we deal with just seems trivial after you see destruction like we are seeing today ..

If you have nothing to lose, you have nothing to worry about.
  • Japan. I have friends that have a daughter teaching on one of the islands and I haven't heard if she is safe or not. The destruction is unbelievable.
