I know somebody else already posted this link before, but is anybody else scratching their head a little bit about how the last rule here fits in with a multi-day festival? Maybe if they can open the parking lots early we can all just tailgate all day and go to the shows at night?

Conditions of the business license include:

-- Attendance at any concert shall not exceed 35,600.

-- Concerts should normally end at 11 p.m. but never go beyond midnight.

-- If a concert with multiple artists is eight hours or more, concerts cannot be scheduled the day before or the day after.

I doubt its going to be more then an 8 hour show. Probably PJ and 2 opening bands...6pm till 12am. But I have no clue.

I'm sure there would be complaints with any location they would have picked but it seems like if a field in Wisconsin is in fact the location there will be a more than usual amount. It's not exactly convenient for a majority of their fans.

Should just make it Liberty State Park in NJ... the former site of All Points West.

Maybe Toronto is a go? Rogers Center probably holds 40,000 with stage logistics I think.

I do not mind traveling a long distance for this event, but there are dozens of exciting cities in this country that have amphitheaters. Still don't understand this decision, if it is in fact correct.

The band has stated they like said venue. I'm not sure we need any more reason than that, especially when your preceding statement was that you don't mind traveling a long distance for this event, and that I would venture a guess that many others have the same mentality.

I am sure the band like plenty of venues in this country. Convenience of the crowd should be a major consideration for any festival organizer. Flying to an airport, then driving over an hour, and still being in an area that seems to not have much to offer does not sound like the best plan.

I'm sure the event will be great and the band will play some amazing tunes. But I was hoping for them to play a place that is known throughout the country, like Red Rocks or the Gorge.

If you get a hotel in Milwaukee, it's about 45 minutes to the venue, but I don't think buses would go there. You might have to cab it or rent a car (or just mooch off a fellow PJ fan who lives nearby).
