i dont think there was an official answer. Go into tour and count them all up.

the official PJ site doesn't list all the shows like beacon and a few others that aren't officially acknowledged though, probably not an accurate way to do it

yeah i'm at the 10% mark too.

at the rate they've been touring, it'll be PJ40 when show 1000 rolls around.

You bastards are so lucky. Ive been doing nothing but saving money and then blowing it on as many shows as possible for the past 14 years and Im only at 19. But thats because i live in South Dakota and it costs me four times the ticket cost to get to any shows.

Hmm I have been going to shows since '03 and have hit 21 of them. East Coast bias ftw.

I think 06 is the last (big) tour their ever going to do. I cant see any thing ever being much bigger than the last Back Spacer tour.

east coast is helpful, but all my shows aren't east coast, i've done gorge, cali, canada, etc. so they cost a lot too. i've just been fortunate that i can work from "home" a good chunk of time. the free time is definitely key. i'm over 75 phish shows too.

just wondering why you think the 2003 tour took such a wear on them. in 06 they toured a lot and they seemed to be having fun. i always thought the 2000 tour was their changing point; i think rosklide had a heck of a lot to do with that.

but i don't get why they don't like to tour anymore. they are one of the best live bands out there but it seems like they still don't want that huge success. who knows.

2003 was definitely more grueling. It is the last time they did a proper US tour.

i don't think you were too far off though. i'm not going to count them, but it was at 5xx in 2004, they have played about 200 shows since then.
