Theater of Sweat and Lies.

On the streets the sounds of life
reel us back to endless nights
of ceremonial acts of lust
in a theater of lies and sweat
under neon lights.

Before the final curtain falls
screams of lust will ring the call
and bring the dreams of sweat and lies
into the theater of never ending night
under neon lights.

Beads of sweat fall from her face
as she pulls back her hair
and screams in the theater of sweat and lies
as she dreams
under neon lights.

On the streets it's never ending
reaching for dreams that bring new beginning
to life in the theater of sweat and lies.

In her tired eye's life is laying in wait
for northern shores and the key to open the doors
inside the theater of sweat and lies.

And she waits under neon lights.

Before the final curtain falls
screams of lust will ring the call
and bring the dreams of sweat and lies
into the theater of never ending night
under neon lights.

    when I was 18 - 19 years old I lived w/ 2 prostitutes, it was my first real look at what life was like outside in the real world, their names where Lisa and Michelle and as I look back they were both beautiful women in their mid to late 20's and both very street smart, Lisa was thin and pretty when she dressed up for work she was stunning
    but lazing around the house in shorts and a t-shirt and no make-up you could see the effects of all the drugs and alcohol that she used to hide the pain, she was a very caring person and both girls always treated me like a little brother.
    Michelle was stunning beautiful in the morning when she woke up, she was a mulatto (half black and half white)
    and a heart that can only be described as loving and very loyal to those lucky enough to be the few she called her friends.
    and no I never slept either one of them,we where friends..good friends, anyway this poem was about them.

    they used to call me their nephew,LOL but yeah I get your point :lol:
