I don't think many people here will say their best cover is Last Kiss.

i disagree. i think not having a synth in that song takes a great deal away from it.

I know Neil wrote it, but I still find it hard to consider anything from Mirror Ball a cover since Neil recorded the album with PJ.

And yes, it was great seeing them play that live with Neil in Toledo.

Even though it's not a traditional cover, I say Crazy Mary. I'd love to see them try some Led Zep.

sonic reducer because I am such a loser
When they finaly played it at a show i was at in Charlotte 2003 it is the only thing i could say after the show. Sat in the hotel and said they played Sonic Reducer.
alos RITFW baba and fucken up are huge for me.

fucken up portalnd 2000 was very big for me. First time i had gotten it live. I dont fly and I had flwon out to goto the Portland and 2 seattle shows.

When you travel cross country and you put your toe in the pacific for the first time in your life. Its your first time ever in the pacific time zone and they guys come out and rock the rose garden and do fucken up its a thrill.
I also recomend the drive from Portland to seattle to anyone. Very nice.

Like my favorite song, it changes all the time. That said, my current favorite cover is "I Won't Back Down."

I don't really even like Petty's version--take it or leave it--but when Pearl Jam did at the Gorge...I was hooked.

I think Crazy Mary is my favorite, but I'm also partial to Masters of War and Little Wing.
