I must have been right next to you because I sat (or should I say stood) next to Eli for the Mansfield II show this summer. We rocked out hard!!! I saw him a few nights later at the Beacon. Real good guy.

Best of luck Eli....stay safe and good luck!!!

yea actually thanx to our boy Chicago one (Angelo) who kept letting me enjoy his seat up front and to rock out for Alive 5 rows from ed and Qball. You guys rock just as hard man...chimpat, I look forward to the next shows!

loveboatcapt ;) good to see you on here...been a while since the ed shows..hope youre doing good!

Mr drowned under..it is an honor to do something like this for your family and countless others.

The rest of you all rock..man, Pearl jam fans are the best, hands down and it feels amazing knowing that I carry most of you with me on this trip. Many of you are the driving force behind this cause so many are involved with charities and helping others. This was my time to put my time and efforts into those who need it rather than busting my ass for a corporate restautrant or abusing myself to keep up with bills, rent, etc, or some shit. I cant thank you all enough for the support and the wishes. Leathermandi you truly are something else for real....best friend anyone can ask for..when I saw the Oprah-check, Ellen-check, NYTIMES-check and all the others list I was like  you go all out kid! and I love ya for that

Eli, you are absolutely awe inspiring! Good luck & have a safe journey. I will be making my donation this afternoon.

P.S. I tried to friend you on myspace but your settings require either your email or last name neither of which I have...

    PEACE

    Let's just breathe...

I am myself like you somehow

  • I was lucky enough to have met Eli at the US Open this year, as random as that is...

I work in event marketing and my client is the title sponsor of the US Open series and happened to be working my booth, when a dude with a weathered Yield short walked in...

Naturally I gave him props on his t, and we started talking PJ....

Hell of a dude, just a great person, and what he is doing now is a testimate to the type of person he is...

Have a blast on your adventure dude!

  • Yup! Eli stayed at my house for a couple of days and left for the open road from my house on Monday afternoon.
It was quite an emotional sight to see him head out up my street and out of town to the USA.
A bold move to pedal out there with just a few things and an old bike to cross this country for charity with only a few bucks in his pocket. No high tech camping equipment, no high tech clothing or gear. No tent!
No phone, just a computer and a non working camera. We tried to fix the camera but I got him set up with a new digi for the trip.
Haha, the Sony still doesn't work, so we made the right move Stickboy!

I can say this, if anyone wants to help him on his journey:

He's gonna need some tires! Especially that back one!
A rain jacket may help, too!

Eli! Don't be afraid to ask for some stuff! I'm sure there are some other 6' 4" bean poles out there! :D

    Ride on, Eli!

hey Bob, theres this lyric that slowly Ive grown to live by more and more as life continues and that is "For every tool they lend us, a loss of independence" And if I could shed the laptop too I would but I have all you guys in there so I can't just say goodbye yet, lol

well the front tire started to get really bad so I just spent 25 bucks in Baltimore to get a new one and changed and the girls in there were SUPER cool as has just about everyone I've talked to and come across along the way. Hold on to that SOny camera for the PJ Museum someday! :D we'll put it right next to the bike! Bob I cant say enough how appreciative I am for your hospitality and generosity and its people like you that made me wanna do this...like you told me...Live for others to live and its awesome...every day I feel better just thinking about it and the impact this could have on even one person!
You guys all rock...it cant be said enough

well a small update...the rain is slowing me down like a mofo...just left Baltimore cause of the rain and stopped at a Mickey D's to charge this bitch up and upload pics and maybe blog a bit. I think I'm gonna make it to DC by tonite so tomorrows a big day. Library in Baltimore was kind enough to allow me to make some copies for free but I gotta make more and spread the word and links tomorrow. I'll try and summarize everything for everyone since the day I left now and whatever else maybe tonite cause its gonna start getting late and I def wanna get there by tonite.
Aah, fuck it, I’m just gonna go home, turn on the fuckin’ TV...

Great job......let me know if you need some sort of restaurant gift card that I can send via email. I know you are riding for charity, but its important that you have the resources to sustain yourself as well!
