Thank the Chili Peppers for this gem. Actually it's a fun song, early 90's style.0

i wouldn't say it sucks, but is definitely one of the weaker pj tunes. i would imagine it would be a cool surprise live though actually.
btw, i have no clue why my screename is what it is. back when i signed up i was trying to think of something creative for too long, so i decided to just use the song that was playing at the moment.2006: Hartford

I love the song and was TOTALLY stoked that they played it at The Gorge!!

I just think it's cool that they play it, when clearly they don't think its a very good tune. It seems they just do it to appease the guys yelling 'dirty frank!' at all the shows. I personally would rather hear just about any other rarity. Besides, matt just cannot groove like Dave could, and that song is all about the drumming.I hold the pain, release me!0

I love this song.
And I can see where the song is coming from. Not only did the band tour with the Chillis, Eddie was in a frickin RHCP cover band.. He would know how to get the RHCP feel.
Anyway, a buddy of mine insists that the music is taken from a RHCP song. Anyone know which song this might be?I will swallow poison0 -
Aerosmith brought the funk way before the peppers(who aren't that good of a band IMO)0

Not my favorite either. All the world will be your enemy, Prince with a thousand enemies, and whenever they catch you, they will kill you. But first they must catch you, digger, listener, runner, prince with the swift warning. Be cunning and full of tricks and your people shall never be destroyed.0

It sure sounds like "Give It Away" to me . . . I'd like to think of it as more of a tribute than a rip-off, though, especially since the two bands seem to still like each other after all these years. Personally I love Dirty Frank. It's just a funky feel-good song, but I guess you have to be in the right mood (i.e. crazy/drunk) to truly appreciate it's glory. PJ has so many super serious songs in their catalog, it's nice to have some that are just for fun.I just need someone to be there for . . . me
