Crazy thing is I'd decided not to go the NY shows this time around, but I was getting nervous about how hard it is to get tix...and if I missed Newark, I'd miss all the shows...so I tried NY2 about 10 minutes ago and got a buy button and put it in my cart...then decided against it to let someone else have it. One refresh later and it was SOLD OUT. Glad I gave it up.

In the past I got screwed hitting refresh, once I did that I was waiting for ever for the screen to refresh, and when it finally did the tickets were out of stock. Can someone help me for when I try for Milwaukee and Chicago?

Do NOT refresh, EVER. What you want to do is login about 5 minutes before the official time. With about 2 minutes to go, start clicking on the "Tickets" button in the lefthand side of your screen. But better yet, if there are already ticket icons still lingering on the right side of your screen (for a different city), click those instead. Click furiously. Your new icon will pop up automatically, without ever hitting "refresh" or F5 or whatever. Clicking the actual "ticket" link or icon refreshes a lot faster than actually refreshing. But beware-- as someone said earlier in another thread, having a fast connection and fast fingers doesn't guarantee anything. Personally, I have both, and I never saw the "Buy" buttons the first time around for any of the shows today. If you miss em the first time you see "Buy", be prepared to give yourself a good hour to sit and keep on clicking. Remember, "Temporarily Out of Stock" means that there are still tix available. You'll just have to keep clicking your city's icon until you get the Buy button again. After about half an hour, log yourself out and log back in again. Often you'll see the Buy button but you didn't realize that the system automatically logs you out after about half an hour. Don't let this happen to you! Then once it says "Out of Stock" though, it's over. Do yourself a favor and practice on other cities before your city goes on sale. Just don't be a dink and keep the tix in your cart for an hour. If you're quick enough to get another city's tix, click on the "Cart" button, and update the quantity to Zero to release them for others, so they're not sitting there for an hour.

My tips, which got me Newark Tix, and got me to the "Buy" button for NYC2 as a test:
1. Re-start machine 1/2 hour before sale
2. Open only a web browser - Firefox is my preferred browser - I don't want any applications messing with allocated memory.
3. Open another browser, Google "Atomic Clock", click on the link and view Atomic Clock. Tix NEVER go on sale before the clock hits the time, usually 5-6 sec after,
4. Open a text editor (not MS Word), type in your CC number, copy it - this will save you from having to type the number, but as previously stated, once you have tix in your cart, you are gold.
5. Log into PJ.com, click on goods, tickets
6. In Firefox, right-click on the frame by the tickets and choose "show this frame only" or whatever the wording is.
7. When you get to X.59.30, click on tickets, and do not stop until the icon appears for your desired tickets - this is tricky, as the newest show posted is not always the top or bottom show
8. When that show appears, click on it, then on "Buy". If Buy button does not show, at least for EV shows, within 30 sec, you are fooked.
If you get that far, the rest is easy.
HUGE problems if you do not log in, if you refresh, or if you do not have your Security Code for your CC.
All that said, I always buy tickets from work, and I am at a University connected to the "backbone" of the Internet via multiple T1 lines. My computer is an Intel Macintosh, connected via a Gigibit Ethernet switch, which is connected via fiber-optic wires to the main computer building. I have tried from home on Comcast (Cable Modem) and Verizon (DSL) and failed with 10c and with Ticketmaster.
As in the 60's, SPEED KILLS!
