It would be cool if somehow PJ contacted that person, bought the ticket and forced them to give the money they got from the ticket to a charity or something.

I hate crap like this... no one is gonna buy that ticket.

It would have to be a pretty high money-to-brains ratio for a person to actually pay that much money for a concert ticket.

Don't really have anything against the seller though, I mean if I had tickets to a concert and someone offered me 18,000 for one of them I would probably say yes (I find it hard to believe if anyone says they would say no). I would be surprised if his tix sell though.

one has nothing to do with the other
those are not 10c tickets! and even if they were the fact you get them though mail rather than the net would not change anything!

Wouldn't mail in tickets be even easier to sell? When I got my tickets for the 98 tour in the mail I got them weeks before the concert. I would have had tons of time to sell them before the actual show, and I would have had the actual physical ticket to give the person I sold them to.

ordering them through snail mail doesn't mean they still can't be at will call
    day of the show
I'd be cool (and greatful) for email confirmation knowing tix were waiting for me
    '96 7 shows / '97 3 shows / '98 15 shows
    '00 12 shows / '03 4 shows / '06 6 shows
    '08 3 shows / '09 5 shows / '10 6 shows

Well then if it is the same system for pick-up they use now how would ordering by mail stop people from selling their tickets?

its not a matter of reselling, something i've done with extras (for face)
its about seniority counting for something since tix are in short supply and demand is soo high
this is my 5th shut out
how could it have been easier for me to get tix in '96 using ETM and calling from certain area codes (yadda yadda) and for stones in sf then now?

its not right...i know, i've been VERY lucky in the past but i've also been a loyal dues paying fan for 13 years

so you mean that ONLY the people with low numbers would be allowed to buy the tickets for in demand shows?

...mmm, I could get banned if I was to respond to this...
