can we really expect a new album seeing as ed as just announced his solo tour?

    it's a short tour and a lot of songs are born out of warm ups for shows,so i don't think it's as bleak as some people seem to think.

    and the road can inspire lyrics as well.

    My sentiments exactly!!!!!!!!!!!! They did a short canadian tour of 2005 and sth america and they ended up producing Avacado out of those tours. I would like to think the ed solo and pj mini tour have got the creative juices flowing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    The way I heard it was "5 ideas" which means those are most likely not complete musically.

    pretty sure people who met mike on the tour said they are tentatively looking into touring europe and south america in 09

    that's where Vitalogy came from. I was on the vs tour in 1994 and I basically heard all of vitalogy before it was released

    yeah apparently also from people who met mike they have a few ideas, like mike, matt and jeff each have one and stone has 2, ed has none.

    I think it'll be fine for the Eddie. I mean, look how much the guy does already with Bridge School Benefits, constant touring, writing for the Seattle times, etc.

    makes no sense cuz y would they wait til fall to tour if they put an album out in spring/summer?

    I recently read an interview with one of the organizers of the Rock im Park/Rock am Ring festivals in Germany. The guy was saying something like: "We know that PJ are about to tour 2009, we would love to have them here again." Sounds great to me; I'm not worried about Ed's solo stuff, you guys in the USA and Canada better enjoy it!
