2011 is going to be epic. as far as pearl jam fandum goes.

and in light of the news of the "festival" not being ready to serve the masses of the jamily and a short tour more likely in the works, i think it's time to suggest something that minneapolis, chicago, kansas city, and denver have been thinking about for a long time now. the fans that live in these cities would really like pearl jam to play the middle of the country so they can travel a bit and get back to the grass roots of things. i feel if these diehards and thrillseekers did their part we could easily sell out the qwest center, but should the country be divided as it is in these uncertain times, we could always just move the party over to council bluffs and rock the mid america center . . . remember those good times, eh, 2003? right.

so listen, i had a kid last year . . . actually on october 22nd, 2010 . . . helluva a date for sure. and the odds of me going to "THE weekend" are slim. but this isn't about me, this is about all of those people in the first paragraph. we should have our school shootings and our mayor recall election surpressed and completed by the time pearl jam's equipment trucks and tour busses arrive, i am confident as an overtaxed citizen.

so there is the seed, planted. truth will grow. the last time ed was on stage in omaha he told us to eat our carrots . . . well i have been eating carrots since 1992 and am frankly sick of it. come tell me what to do again, ed, and the band with a message. although they may have played here in 1994ish at peony park, but that place is a food store now, so it doesn't count. i am kind of getting excited. can't wait for PJ20 . . . 11.

thanks in advance. and may all look alike threads be deleted and all non omaha supporters be banned maybe.

Hah... was just discussing this at work... in Omaha! We are "middle of the country" for PJ20. Not holding my breath though.
  • It would be awesome if I didn't have to take leave and pay hundreds of dollars to travel. But at least it should be somewhere fairly close to Omaha, if it is not here......How about Harrah's? j/k....

no offense, but we may need some posters with post counts in the triple or quadrouple digits . . .

and one of us is going to have to call into that Tim radio show and suggest this thing to that Rob guy.

    not it.
