  • Maybe because he's embarrassed by how juvenile "get out of my fucking face" sounds. It has always made me cringe (but then so does the "lucky" substitute).

I've always felt that was the reason they retired Leash for so long. A large part of me wished they hadn't folded under the pressure to resurrect it.

Love this song. Definitely in my top 10 PJ songs, maybe even top 5. I'd be quite happy if they played it at every gig.

i may be crazy and i'll have to go back and listen, but i swear on the studio version there is at least one point where Ed says lucky as well.

I was thinking that too. I love Leash. I think the "get out of my fucking face" line is great and really fits the tone of the song.

I don't think it's a juvenile line, then again I'm over 40 and still laugh at my own farts.
  • Hearing him sing we are young is a little amusing at this point...

  • how is "get out of my fucking face" juvenile? it's a passionate emotion that bears no age significance.

Love this song, love this line, don't find it juvenile at all. It's my #1 "wanna hear it live" song.

I am way too lazy to get up and actually check this for sure, but I am almost certain that in the lyrics in the CD booklet it says "get out of my lucky face", so I've always assumed he is referring to that.

I saw them play it for my first time in Cleveland last year. Listening to the boot, I heard him say lucky, and I just assumed I must have heard the lyrics wrong in the past. I am glad to know i am not crazy and had them right.
words seem so out of place.
