ED TO PLAY BRISBANE DESPITE THE DISASTER?

I'm going to go out on a limb here and guess that Ed's two shows to open his solo Australian tour in Brisbane are going to be cancelled. Anyone else up on the news in that poor town? 11,900 homes, 2,500 businesses completely inundated and 14,700 homes and 2,500 businesses partially covered in water. The flooding, which has killed 23 people since late November, has submerged dozens of towns, including Toowoomba west of Brisbane, and has left an area the size of Germany and France combined under water. Highways and rail lines have been washed away too. In Brisbane, roads are flooded, railway lines were cut, and sewage began spilling into the floodwaters. Reports are that the normally bustling business district has transformed into a watery ghost town. Any PJ Blokes care to chime in from there? Of course, his shows are over a month away, but this scene still sounds horrific. Also, of course, worrying about his show going off totally and completely pales in comparison to their current situation. I was just surprised to not have seen a thread up on it yet.

    I think he'll play, proceeds would prob go the Brisbane people, he's that sort of bloke, give the town a lift!!!

    It should be fine .. the Brisbane shows are well over 7 weeks away.

    QPAC (the venue) didn't get flooded out and there is a major clean-up happening right now in Brisbane due to all the wonderful volunteers.
