Happy Astoria Anniversary!!

well, it's been 2 years today since I finally got to see PJ live, and I've been catching up for lost time ever since! ;)

but you never forget your first time, and what a first time it was!!! :D

As I know many who consider this show very special, as a first show or a first one in the 6 years since they had visited us in Europe; first of many of the Avocado songs, really small venue...

so to the Astoria crew:

    Well, its 5 in the morning, im fucking tanked, and its my fathers birthday, but more importantly (Happy birthday dad!!) :) its 2 years since the astoria, all I say is what a fucking amazing night!

    ...........a truly unique and very special experience - seemed there were only 110% committed fans, no ruckers, no drunks, no musical tourists, great set, awesome encores, PJ having a good time and really connecting with the crowd............and I will pop the boot in the CD and take a glass or two this evening in memory and in anticipation of seeing them again in Europe !

    Still one of the best nights of my life, and hands down, the best gig I've ever been to.

    The Astoria was one of those nights which was life affirming.

    I don't think there are words to do justice to just how special that night was.
    A democracy on paper, apparently well ordered, regularly subverted by irrational chaos.
