Anyone ever seen or heard of her being at a recent gig?
Saw her at the final West Coast eV show in San Diego. It was her birthday, and Ed dedicated Forever Young to her. She got a standing ovation when introduced. There were photos of her up back in April.
Ed said she was at the 2001 Bridge School show. Ben Harper preceded Pearl Jam and played a song with his mother. Later that night Ed said this made him feel uncomfortable because his mom was there too and was dying to sing, but instead Ben came on stage to sing Indifference with Ed.

I thought Ed's mom had died. Didn't he mention a relative of his passing away in the Rolling Stone cover story for Avocado? I know I'm not mistaking it for Ramone's death. Or was he recounting the Alive story for the millionth time of his dad's passing who he never met?? Please, I want to know.
I think she picked up tickets at the fan club window San Diego 03.

lol yeah that's my vintage 1998 tour shirt from my very first PJ show on 9/3/98 in birmingham, alabama. wow i was 16... and wow that will be 10 years in 3 days lol.
the cool thing about that night was, she talked to me a bit and asked if i followed them around. i told her that i had seen them 20+ times. it actually looked like it blew her mind that i had seen them that many times cause she was like, "REALLY?".
so since i actually had her interest i explained to her that because of PJ i got 2 degrees in music, i signed a small record deal with and got to travel for a long time playing music, after that i moved from alabama to orange county, california and now have a full time job in los angeles composing music in the video game industry, not to mention... i started my own business. she did seem 100% touched by that. i don't know if she relayed the story to ed or not, but she gave me a hug and told me that she was proud of me. and that meant the world to me.
you could tell that she is a proud mama, she knows her son has inspired many, many people to do a lot of great things
eds aunt i knew she was sweet she lived by me for 10 years and eds aunt made me watch eds niece in the deep end of a pool while she took the little niece to the bathroom. one of the neices name was michaela. eds family is so nice.
