Mr. Unlost has been up since dawn and considers it his personal responsibility to snowblow out every house on our street. We're pretty buried here and the wind is still howling so I'm staying put and working from home.

    Pajama day!!!

Last time you spent the whole day in pajamas?

Many many years ago when I was a kid. We had major snowstorms like this.

What is your favorite snow memory.
  • unlost dogsunlost dogs Greater Boston Posts: 12,553
Volunteering as a ski patroller/guide at the Special Olympics on the downhill ski course maybe 10 years ago. So much fun when a big snowstorm blew through, such a huge dump of snow that none of us could figure out where our vehicles were in the parking lot, they were literally buried. And the skiers had so much fun in all that powder, a special treat here in New England where usually the trails are icy.

Last time you were without power?

The blackout we had here in NYC a few years ago. Since then, when everyone else has power issues, staten island seems to fair good- well my part of the island.

When do you take your Christmas tree down( if you have a tree)?
  • RKCNDYRKCNDY Posts: 31,013
I don't remember...it ususally does not go out that much here....but when it does, it will be out for days.

What will you do if the power stays out for days and you can't get out of your house?

I can always get out... 8-) and we have a propane stove and a propane grill so we can eat. But if I was housebound _ I would spend a lot of time reading.

And VD: I've sometimes taken the tree down the day after Christmas if it's really dry, but this year the branches are still supple so we're not rushing.

What are you looking forward to?

find out the KBB price and haggle lower than that price...make the dude sweat...if you got cash, they like that.

oh and make sure you are looking the 'wet weight' (weight of trailer with water tank filled and fully loaded with gear, dry weight really means nothing) of the trailer you want to tow for towing options!

Are you excited about getting a new vehicle?
