    I just can't understand why men or women for that matter would have same sex and want to marry, have you seen those gay parades with the guys dressed up in freaky drag clothing, sorry it's just one of those things I can't get used to, it grosses me out and to me it's just not natural and not the way I grew up.

    I am wondering why it is an issue too. I mean the US military totally likes to play it up like they have the toughest most badass service people on the planet. But if these people are so badass, why wouldn't they be able to handle working with a homosexual?

    having sex with another man is not badass....gross !

    The problem I have with this is that you are basing what you know and your personal experiences, (which sounds limited) with the entire gay community. Your personal experiences with flambouyant gay men at parades is not representative of the gay community. That would be like saying I saw a halloween parade and now I assume all the people in my town are zombies.

    My grandfather was a racist bigot. He couldn't get over equal rights issues with blacks. I'm not disgusted or anything with him, it was just that he was a narrow-minded, ethnocentric, simple man who lived in the past.

    Some people on this board will be remembered by their grandchildren in the same manner, but in regards to gay rights.

    to me it's wrong even as socially accepted as it is,and I seen some gals that gross me out too all dressed up and looking like men (I work with a few)
    as nice as they are and we are friends I still don't agree with their life ...or ..alturnitive life style...what ever you want to call it.
    a woman I have know for years is bi and she is what she is and as a friend I love her very much but I still don't understand or agree with her life style.
    this just the way I see life and will not change my values because other people tell me it's ok.

    why is it that when bigots talk about gay sex, they bring in beastiality and sex with children into the argument? It really says quite a lot about your ignorance when you think that two consenting adults having sex is tantamount to raping a defenseless creature or human.

    I was not talking children I meant adult children. There are people out there that feel they have the right to marry there children or parents. My main question is "is there right and wrong" or is it just a matter of opinions?

    "is there right and wrong?" Good question. I think there is no universal right and wrong when we talk about values or beliefs, except for anything that involves harming others. Obviously that is "wrong." "Do what thou wilt and harm none." Harming others does not include hurting someone's feelings because you have a differnet belief system.

    So are you saying that if another country wanted to invade the US all they would have to do is form an army of openly gay dudes, and US soldiers would be so freaked out or grossed out by gay people that they wouldn't be able to fight back? Because when people talk about how soldiers would be uncomfortble around other openly gay soldiers that's kind of what I think of.

    Sex with children and animals is illegal. Being in a consenting homosexual relationship is not.
