Racism is alive and well. :thumbup: I think, maybe a lot of people feel this way towards specific groups of people, but I would say it depends on where you live. And then theirs those who simply hate everyone. Some people might want to put up a sign that says "no illegals allowed" (with or with our papers), and others might want to put up a sign that reads no Gays allowed...etc..etc..... Just think it depends on where you live and your experiences.

“No Negros Allowed” Sign Posted On Wisconsin Gentlemen’s Club

Mark Prior, an Abbortsford, WI businessman who says he’s had problems with black people in the past, has posted a sign on his yet-to-open gentleman’s club saying “No Negro’s (sic) Allowed.” (h/t Tommy Christopher)

Federal and State law says if the business is open to the public, prohibiting people based on race is illegal. If the man’s proposed gentlemen’s club was going to be a private club, then an African American historian says he could discriminate. Legalities aside, his is a sign that many say is appalling.

“If I’ve got a problem with you it’s going to be on the front of my store,” says Mark Prior.

Prior posted his ‘No Negros Allowed’ sign after he says he had some problems with black people in the past and needed to make a policy against them.

“I’m going to stick to my guns because I think I have the right as a business owner to reject service to anyone. It’s not all the black people there are just a few bad ones,” Prior says of his problems in the past.

Prior says it’s his right to run his business as he pleases and will take this to court if necessary. Prior previously failed at attempts to open a grocery store and his own sheriff’s department.

    It's amazing that in 2010 there are still people who think that way. I love the fact that he says not all black people are bad, just a few - but he's going to deny entry to all of them anyway. What a tool.

    I've known some bad left-handed people in my time - I think I'll open a private club for right-handed people only.

    It reminds me of a WWII-era joke that I heard the other day (note: I don't actually spend much time listening to WWII jokes, I just happened to catch this one)

    Person A: I just heard that Adolf Hitler wants to kill all of the bicycle owners and all of the Jews!

    Person B: Why the bicycle owners?

    Person A: Why the Jews?
    And I listen for the voice inside my head... nothing. I'll do this one myself.

    Racism is alive & well everywhere. The South gets a bad rap. Note that the story in the OP is in the north.

    Can't leave the West Coast out

    I love this one :roll: .... this is from earlier this year....I think it was from the LA times or the OC register ....

    Costa Mesa, CA..... has declared itself a 'rule of law' community.... they want to limit the amount of soccer fields in parks.... to keep the "illegal" immigrants away.....
