i wish both of them would put the american people ahead of their own personal agendas. but i guess without the american people neither would be where they are today.....they make a nice living off of their supporters...

Well, when Nancy Pelosi and Barack Obama put the wishes of the American people before THEIR own agendas, maybe we can begin to hold him to a higher standard?

What exactly is the point of this thread? This is like a bunch of schoolchildren making fun of someone in the playground.
so you find nothing wrong with boehner acting like a little baby?

as far as the rest of your post goes, i had a long winded reply then i saw that breath123 made my point for me.

as far as complaining about the point of the thread, if you don't like it you don't have to bump it to the top by posting to complain about it...sheesh, i thought you knew that by now

Its easy for people to zero in on something that is considered a 'weak' emotion in politics. It really doesnt have a point I guess. However, I watched the whole cbs video link that was provided by the OP, and it was interesting (the end of the video) where they highlight the fact that a politician crying in the past was a sign of weakness and could ruin them. But they go on to show Hilary, Dole, and others crying in front of the camera. Many of them seem heartfelt.. well, not the Bush segment, but I dont think he was really crying in the segment. (although he probably has the most to cry over in the recent history of the US).

Bingo, that's the point. But my point for making it a thread is to also honestly ask why Republicans feel that crying on camera does them justice. Perhaps they have this idea that if they cry they seem more human. But I just see it as unnecessary. You're a politician for bob's sake, not a drama queen.

Yes, their agenda sucks, trying to make sure you don't die or go into serious debt if you get sick! Keeping food, water and air safe? I mean who are they fooling?

What about the rich? Without tax cuts, they might actually have to get the gold plated fixtures for their private jets as opposed to the solid gold ones! It's an outrage!!

Sure the wars and the billions of dollars we are borrowing from the Chinese to fund the tax cuts are going to run our children into a ditch but not nearly as much as medicare and unemployment.

When will the poor finally step up and pay their fair share? WHEN?! Why must the people with everything be counted on to make a reasonable contribution? When will the madness stop?

    good day sir.

    I SAID GOOD DAY!!

Ughhhh. It just looks contrived to me.

Saw that 60 minutes show and the funniest thing was they showed a clip of a speech Obama had done and he said "John Boehner and I have something in common......we're both dark skinned men"---or something like that. and then he continued "But his skin color is not from nature". Again---I am paraphrasing because I suck at remembering exactly the words but it was some funny shit!!

    :lol::lol:

oh....and seeing Boehner cry was funny too.
So I'll just lie down and wait for the dream

Wait, so you want to debate me but you refuse to? okay.....

I might check out your greatest hits and see if I can find something from a reliable source and not lifted from Glenn Beck.
