You make a good point. I guess I get tired of the general over-sensationalism which the media tends to delight in.

Cases like this deserve a certain sensitivity and respect.

We decline the invitation to interpret the statutes in this way because it would render them meaningless. ... This court will not interpret a statute to yield an absurd result.

Was interesting, that part about whether the DNA evidence could ever yield a positive proof of innocence. Not sure I understood it completely, but were they broadly pointing out that the WM3 are in a kind of 'catch 22' if they have to 'prove their innocence' using DNA evidence? Sounds pretty critical for the terms of the hearing.... wish I understood it better!

John Douglas has crawled inside the minds of some of the nation's most notorious murderers, but he says the West Memphis Three aren't among them.

I've now spent three working days reading up on this case. The most mindboggling thing of it all is that Echols, Baldwin and Misskelley were considered the weird ones.

Fathers sticking fingers up their kids' butt, sexual and physical abuse, shooting of relatives, heroine, coke, meth addictions... wow.

Not taking a stance on guilt necessarily, it just seems odd that in such an environment you are weird because you dress in black and listen to Metallica.
... and the will to show I will always be better than before.

  • It's just so fucking mind blowing as to how innocent these 3 guys are and yet they are
    still incarcerated.
    Makes my stomach turn.

Thanks for posting. I can't believe I've been following this since I was a teen and they're still locked up.
This show, another show, a show here and a show there.
