PJ tix for a pair though through 10c are still pretty cheap. It's the ticketmaster fees that get everybody on shows. Sometimes the more expensive the ticket is, the service fee is higher- never understood that one. ticketmaster reserves the tickets the same way regardless of where your seat is. I just find it crazy they have different service fees.

If the band didn't play any theaters, centers & arenas that weren't Live Nation / Ticketmaster run, tickets would be so much cheaper. There would be more control from the band's fan club distributing reserved tickets @ those places. But it's hard to find any that are not already run by the super powers.

Imagine though on Pearl Jam's 20th Anni tour '11 they only play @ small clubs, a la '91 tour flashback? Just think about it. It's general admission. 300 to 1000 max fans @ these show's. 10club only tickets. How much would 1 ticket be just to be @ one of these show's?

I spent $28 on a ticket for my very first Pearl Jam show in 2000...now, 10 years later, they're like $75 at least!

  • 1st show in '98, $23 + $1 facility fee. 2010, $69. triple the price in 12 yrs. not too bad.

they tried the whole non ticketmaster venue thing...really fucked up a lot of stuff for them

I loved them for trying, but damn that was a bad time to try and get tickets to anywhere close
