*The Official Bring Eddie Vedder to New Zealand Thread*
Well I thought it was time someone started one of these ... and hopefully Eddie will read or hear about this.
Also I'm tired of reading posts all over the place from sad / angry / annnoyed New Zullanders.

There's a reason why he didn't go to NZ when he is so close....maybe it's because he won't make any money out of it....I don't know....but you're going to need something major to make him change his mind....and a little online FB petition isn't going to do it....imo.

As fomer Kiwi Rachael Hunter used to say in the Pantene ads ..
"It won't happen overnight, but it will happen".
except for her ridiculous hybrid accent.
I'm looking to buy a single ticket to Ed's Sydney Opera House show, PM me if you've got a spare! I don't care where the seat is!
Additional shows required:
NZ pre Brisbane
Perth post Adelaide

Come on doompony... ev2011.co.nz is available ($19 for 2 years) .... don't give up now
So you can pay for his flight to NZ from the States but you can't pay for your flight to Australia?
I can't believe you emailed 10c and said that!

But actually I wouldn't do that either, but ... eh. They won't even have read my soppy email.
If you won $1,000 tomorrow, would you definitely come?

Agree wholeheartedly, online petitions ain't gonna do it...
It mystifies me as to why he's not coming (try and make sense out of that sentence)
I just can't seem to figure it out...
I'm sure he could easily sell out a venue here like the civic
or is that just my biased thinking and maybe they don't think it would be financially viable?
i'm keen as to fight for the cause tho
why eddie? why? it can't be about the money
I've noticed Liam isn't supporting this time around.
Hmmm
Anyway Its fun for me to do!
And I'm still trying to figure out why he isnt coming here, it just seems weird as he's always going on about New Zealand it seems. If I could just get a reason as to why he isnt then I'll stop bugging Chugg and Ten Club

Come on Ed .. show some gratitude!
HI Scott,
We are very familiar with New Zealand and love it! However, the booking agent and promoter have not added any NZ dates to this tour. We are sorry, and hope there’s a chance you can make it out to one of the OZ shows.
Cheers,
10c
so essentially chugg couldn't be bothered?
we need fucking mystery girl to get him here. she always brings awesome acts to nz.

i say we write to mystery girl and see if she can bring him here.
Hi Mystery Girl
You have an amazing history of bringing amazing artists to NZ. Seriously, that list of past tours makes my eyes all misty with all it's awesomeness.
Eddie Vedder from Pearl Jam announced his first solo tour outside of America this past Tuesday. The rumour was it would be an Aus/NZ tour. Unfortunately the reality is it's only an Australian tour, for a couple of weeks next March. The idea is he's going to Aussie to play theatre shows of his solo music (Into the Wild and new material, plus covers and Pearl Jam tunes I believe) and to spend time surfing in down time.
Anyway, the Kiwi fans who were built up to anticipate a couple of dates in NZ were gutted that the guy is coming all this way and NOT leaping the ditch. He's also left Perth off the list and the promoters (Chugg) have implied that if enough people sign a petition they're open to putting Perth on the tour. But not NZ!
The Ten Club (Pearl Jam's fanclub) have said that NZ has been missed out because the promoters chose to miss us out.
Is there anyway you can put your previously mentioned awesomeosity (It's a word!) to use and entice Mr Vedder over to NZ since Chugg continues to just not give a shit? Think about how beautiful a show could be at the Civic in Auckland... or the St James in Wellington.
If it's possible or a reasonably good idea to you then I BEG OF YOU. I, like so many kiwi fans, just can't afford to go to Australia to see concerts. And you do good work bringing otherwise completely inaccessible live acts to NZ.
Thanks for reading
Cheers
Lisa
Very smart letter!
Send my credentials to the house of detention
Good luck and speak to you all tomorrow
see you again soon one year maybe two orwords to that effect. I know we can all get a little excited at times and over promise but this would seem the perfect platform to deliver on this one!
