I have been on a George Harrison kick for the last couple weeks. Just picked up the new "All Thing's Must Pass" 3LP set. Anyways, as I was going through my CD collection I pulled out the Traveling Wilbury's Volume 1 and was just in awe. I haven't listened to the CD in years and it was such a breath of fresh air. Hands down the best super group of all time.

That album is amazing, I have many great memories of putting that CD on.0 -
Man, you said it. I recently downloaded the 4 hour documentary on TP and the heartbreakers and it forced me to break out the Wilburys as well... unbelievable! You know I have also been on a Beatles kick lately, My Guitar Gently Weeps (Speaking of the genius of Harrison) is one of the greatest songs of all time... blows my mind. Great post, hope it influences some young kid to check it out.0

I remember so well, when i bought TTW V1 back in the day and my friends laughed at me for listening to "old man music" I shrugged it off and didn't care.... I dropped those friends a few years later..... and i still have the album.... not only that I got the box set that was released a few years ago. Their music has stayed with me..... overall they have released 2 brilliant albums 11 out of 10 for each one (V1 and V3).... even to this day i still think WTF is old man music?

I figured before opening the thread that it was either you or Fenway that started this thread because both of you have been on a Harrison kick lately.youngster wrote:I have been on a George Harrison kick for the last couple weeks. Handle With Care is such a brilliantly simple song.Believe me, when I was growin up, I thought the worst thing you could turn out to be was normal, So I say freaks in the most complementary way. Here's a song by a fellow freak - E.V0

I was just listening to Vol. 1 today. Those guys were just on fire back then. Harrison, Orbison, Dylan, and Petty all put out great albums at the end of the 80's.

Harrison: Cloud Nine
Orbison: Mystery Girl
Petty: Full Moon Fever
Dylan: Oh Mercy
Lynne produced or played on all those except Dylan's.0 -
Love the Wilburys. The forgotten one will always be Jeff Lynne. That guy kicks ass."FF, I've heard the droning about the Sawx being the baby dolls. Yeah, I get it, you guys invented baseball and suffered forever. I get it." -JearlPam09250
