Hartford - PORCH!!!!!!!!!

Porch is one of my favorite songs. For the last ten years or so, it sounds like Pearl Jam plays Porch as if it's a chore.

PORCH from Hartford, however, brought me back to rare energy they brought back in the day.

Coming back from the extended solo, Eddie came back with a bang...

    I still have not had a chance to listen to the boot, but people keep raving about the Hartford show.

    I wish I took a ride from NYC to CT for it. Oh well.....

    Setlist is incredible.

    i thought that out of all the shows from this tour were porch was played that hartford version was the weakest by far. I think it is good but just not as good as the others.

    I was there and it was incredible. I really think part of it was Ed was relaxed and having fun in between NY and Boston and with a semi-loose curfew (midnight) it was just a time and place to have a lot of fun. Which they did.

    I'm a Porch addict as well, and the version from Hartford 08 is awesome. Much better than in 06, imo. My favorite it from Montreal 2000. State College 03 and Atlanta 94 are great too.

    hahaha. Everything from Atlanta 94 was awesome. In fact I'll be listening to it with a buddy around noon time Saturday as we're drinking beers and flipping burgers, awaiting a great night with a cigar to boot.

    sc,philly bonnaroo,msg,and tampa are all better versions in my opinion. I was at both philly and msg shows. I think that hartford was the best show of the tour though. Oh well different strokes for different folks.

    this porch WAS incedible. i prefer it to msg1.

    eds scream comming back from the extended jam is ridiculous. i swear if you close your eyes and i played the clip of that, you would guess it was from '92. amazing.

    that whole show was brilliant. the boot is so ace
    listening back i now realize even more how perfect the performances were.

    I was at Hartford - I haven't got the boot yet up here in Canada - but I remember at the show being absolutely blown away by Porch - not believing what I was seeing and experiencing - the jam was incredible and seemed so long and experimental - I don't have a massive catalogue of boots but I know that from what I have heard, this was a special version.
    I can't wait to hear it again.

    That show was so intense, however it is almost a blur, because I unexpectadly was in the front row, (directly in front of eddie) as i won the lottery. But what a show to see...Porch was excellent to say the least!

    However Elderly woman behind.... will always have a place in my heart, as during the ending, EV looked at me, and I looked at him, and we sang the song together...so awesome.

    Also I was the 2nd person, 1st girl he gave a guitar pick too...I however can not remember which songs it was between. but who cares...

    can't wait for boston tomorrow night!!!

    I was there, and i remembered the jam being unusually fast and energetic. It sounded like it was from 92. But i do also remember it being kinda short, maybe it was just the whole "time flies when your having fun" thing.

    Can anyone tell me how long that version was? (not the track length, but the ACTUAL length)

    i also remembered it being shorter then that! i guess not. i think i was so lost in the moment. this bootleg is absolutely amazing .. closest thing to reliving the best show i've ever seen.

    Porch is awesome. The SC rendition was great. Can't wait to hear the Hartford boot. It shipped today.
