Personally, I just can't pick one......of course all of the usual suspects PJ, Crown of Thorns, Nearly Lost you, Drown, but really love May this be love too. The verdict, I can't choose....this was the "soundtrack of my life" at the time. It enjoyed heavy rotation w/ 10, TOTD, and Nevermind. Must've listened to those albums 10,000 times!

LOL! Single is amazing piece of early 90's alt punk/rock/glam.

My ranking:

1.)SOLAT
2.)Nearly Lost You
3.)Drown
4.)Overblown
5.)That Hendrix song
6.)Seasons
7.)Breathe
8.)Chole/Crown
9.)Would
10.)Westerberg track #4

And so on and so forth

edit to add: I forgot Birth Ritual that goes up there pretty high.

I despise Smashing PUmpkins. It's a toss up for me between State of Love and Trust and Breath. I also like Battle of Evermore, Nearly Lost You and Waiting for Somebody.

WHAT????! You guys are all on crack!!!! It's "OVERBLOWN" by far!!! Mudhoney at their best! I remember Eddie Vedder quoting the last verse of the song many times in interviews:

Everybody loves us
Everybody's getting kind of old
Couldn't hold a regular job
Long live rock and roll
"You're not what you own"
Ian MacKaye, Fugazi

As a stand alone audio track, "SOLAT" is one of my favorite PJ songs period. But watching the opening for the movie with Westerberg's "Waiting for Somebody" kinda gives me the warm fuzzies and takes me back. So I will go with the cinderella pick here and choose that one for the way it works with the visuals of the actual movie.

Without question, "Birth Ritual." Although the entire album is masterful, and not choosing "Chloe Dancer/Crown of Thorns" as my favourite song is actually making me feel a little bit dirty.

Drown is the best song on that record, but I have to say that version of SOLAT is the BEST they have ever done. The aggression of that version has been unmatched since.
