Live report from Seattle this Tuesday morning- took me 6 hours to get home last night... no joke. The same trip normally takes me 20 minutes. It was absolute chaos.

Seattle does not have the resources to keep the roads in good condition. Today is going to be around 20 degrees F and the snow has turned to ice. That said, 10c staff may not be able to make it in today, depending on where they live. The hill that goes to 10c headquarters is pretty steep as well. Don't hold your breath on an announcement but you never know. Just thought I'd let everyone know what I know as of 6:45 a.m. here in Seattle. Have a good day all and Happy Thanksgiving to you!!!!

They must have remote access right? VPN, RDC, Citrix, Logmein, something? :)

I'm sure you do know what it's like. This is a rarity for Seattle which is why very little money is allocated for sanding trucks, snow plows, etc. This morning's drive was like Armageddon struck- jackknifed semis, buses, abandoned cars and eeriely quiet.

    Damn, that sucks. Be careful!!

However, I'm sure that someone has the ability to access the website and post an announcement from home.

LMAO!!! I was visiting in Georgia once when they got a freak snowstorm, it put maybe an inch of snow on the ground. Utter. Freaking. Chaos. But I understand when you're not used to that sort of thing.

i KNOoWwwwwwwww (in my best jerry seinfeld voice)
people don't know how to drive in bad weather...even here
    but i'll never forget
years ago i was in Dallas
and they had like a little coating of snow (we won't tell them that's the worst kind right? LOL!)
and i was on that ridiculous loop around the city trying to get off
that's a whole story in itself
but with that little coating of flurry they got
people were going like 5 mph
    slamming on their brakes
spinning out in the slippery slush

    it was nuts~

    then i come home
it was mid 80s (if anyone remembers)
and we had the blizzard of the decade at least
    and NO PROBLEM
we just keep on truckin' right?

    what the hell
    a little snow...like a foot or two
    never stopped us northeasterners
    right?

    heheheheeeeee
    peace,

this started looking like some kind of social experiment
  • -41(f)(c) here in Edmonton today.
  • 10club really had me fooled again. I thought maybe they were under new management with how hard Santos was working, bringing us scratch and dent posters, mystery bags, mystery vinyl and such.

Then all of a sudden back to old 10club, no word on when or if the poster sales will continue and yesterday on and off I would say at least 1000 people were on this site hoping for some news. Now I realize they never said an announcement would be made and that a snowstorm was pounding Seattle, but IF the mods couldnt make it to work, could not one of them log on from home and just say sorry folks its not today.
