i need my dose of pearl jam fans.... metallica pretty much filled the live pearl jam void but the fans are no way near as cool

must say i was vvvvery dissapointed seeing Metallica this summer ... especially after Slayers performance just few mins before them ...

Metallica felt like a product. Sound was like from the cd ... just all so predictable ... hmmm ....

Well they played some very rare songs and mixed the sets up..... they are much tighter than Pearl jam... whether thats what you are referring to as predictable.....if its the sets then maybe you werent as lucky as I was to see 57 different songs in 7 shows (If i count Melbourne only it would be 56 in 5) Considering they only play 18 a night that is damn impressive.

Have very little interest in slayer..... If i cant connect to the lyrics then its not for me.... and god knows what Tom is wailing into that mic

Why does no one mentions each Metallica song is at least 6/7 and i hate the fact people count song numbers, wtf does that mean, you could play lukin 30 times and would seem a lot but in fact 20 minutes.

Yea Metallica are tight but getting so bored of hearing the usual shit, i'm guessing its harder to play than PJ too.

yeah well felt kinda funny seeing James standing there, with his hand on his hearth and shouting - CAN U FEEL IT? ... just didnt believe it ... all those effects, pyro ... dunno man ... nothing to compare with PJ experience...

Ive never listened to Slayer, was the first time i heard them that night and that was just soooo powerfull... And Dave Lombardo on the drums... Lars must have been shitting in his paints behind the stage hearing that :)

Nah, believe Metallica must have been good to see earlier than now ... But anyway ... There is just one band left ... Pearl Jam (and actually Greg Dulli is putting out really awesome live experience, check him out when the new release is out ....)

Here's hoping for Bluesfest timing, as in theory my holidays at work is scheduled for then.

Of course I could go at almost anytime of the year for holiday leave, as long as there is an announcement before Friday, as I am been promoted at work and moving to a new office 200km away so I can I already organised my holidays at X time of the year and they have to schedule me in there irregardless of staffing situation.

Yep, this time round I want to see either PJ or Eddie solo in all of the Australian shows and not just Perth (or Cleveland this year since I was in Cleveland on the same day as PJ)

What if the snow in Seattle trapped the mods inside their house and they weren't able to go to work yesterday?

  • Live report from Seattle this Tuesday morning- took me 6 hours to get home last night... no joke. The same trip normally takes me 20 minutes. It was absolute chaos.

Seattle does not have the resources to keep the roads in good condition. Today is going to be around 20 degrees F and the snow has turned to ice. That said, 10c staff may not be able to make it in today, depending on where they live. The hill that goes to 10c headquarters is pretty steep as well. Don't hold your breath on an announcement but you never know. Just thought I'd let everyone know what I know as of 6:45 a.m. here in Seattle. Have a good day all and Happy Thanksgiving to you!!!!
