So going to Bonnaroo has caused some problems for me and some buddies.

So I was figuring that we could take a Grey Hound to Manchester...but then we wouldn't be able to bring all our camping materials. So I'm taking a chance to ask my mom to borrow her car if she takes my buddies for the weekend. I'm from Western NY and the drive is 835 miles one way. So if she says no what other means of transport could I take. My buddy suggested rental car but that would probably cost a fortune.

    look into flights. or..train..

    there is a walmart pretty close, if you knew someone there...get them to pick you up, or just make a friend at wal mart. everyone is pretty coo.

    flights may be too much and I don't know a train that goes from Western NY to Manchester, or Nashville for that matter.

    i'm sure u can find a train to nyc, and then figure it out from there plenty of options

    Yea but if we take the AmTrak they only allow two bags for each person. We won 't be able to bring the coolers, mini grill and the tent...and our clothes with us.

    if everyone has backpacking-style backpacks... it might work... if i go i'll be coming from van, probalbiy flying out of seattle. i'ma try to see if i can swing it, everything in/on my backpack and whatever i can buy when i arrive, i'll do that.

    they have flights out of Niagra Falls, NY to Columbus and then you could do the rental car to Manchester...

    check out the prices for May :)

    hopefully June will be up soon.

    very true.

    but i think the drive to columbus to manchester is about 4 hrs...

    not bad.
