    Very interesting stuff!

John Douglas has crawled inside the minds of some of the nation's most notorious murderers, but he says the West Memphis Three aren't among them.

    Here's his report:

I meant to post that in this thread but was falling asleep and mistakenly started a new thread. Oops

Me too, but I wish this time that I didn't open the link, it's just so brutal. Poor little boys.

I've now spent three working days reading up on this case. The most mindboggling thing of it all is that Echols, Baldwin and Misskelley were considered the weird ones.

Fathers sticking fingers up their kids' butt, sexual and physical abuse, shooting of relatives, heroine, coke, meth addictions... wow.

Not taking a stance on guilt necessarily, it just seems odd that in such an environment you are weird because you dress in black and listen to Metallica.
... and the will to show I will always be better than before.

    FOX13
    FULL INTERVIEW: Damien Echols:
    http://www.myfoxmemphis.com/dpp/news/local/112310-full-interview%3A-fox13-talks-with-damien-echols
Plus two more interviews: 'Life on Death Row' and 'WM3’s New Hearing', linked under the video.
  • It's just so fucking mind blowing as to how innocent these 3 guys are and yet they are
    still incarcerated.
    Makes my stomach turn.

"Presumed Guilty: Murder in West Memphis" Friday on CNN at 11 p.m. ET and Sunday at 8 p.m. ET.

"I miss the stars," he said. "You know, I haven't seen the stars in years and years and years. I miss the rain. I miss food. I miss all these things. But what it comes down to the most -- and this is the thing that will scar me the most and that I'll carry with me as a scar the longest -- the thing I miss the most is being treated like a human being."

Yeah I saw this yesterday on CNN.com. It just seems like the process is so slow, if they're granted a new hearing or trial or whatever, why does it take so GD long to have it. I would go out of my mind, but I guess if you've been in jail 18+ years, you tend to have a little more patience than myself.

I pray for the truth to prevail.

An Urgent Request for WM3 Legal Contributions

    Dear Friends & Supporters:

In late November 2010, the Arkansas Supreme Court ordered an evidentiary hearing for the West Memphis 3. It was the best legal development in this case in 17 years. The high court directed that the new hearing be sweeping in its scope, and that the Circuit Court must consider all evidence that is relevant to whether the three men deserve a new trial. While this is a landmark victory in this case, Damien, Jason and Jessie remain in prison, with Damien in solitary confinement on death row. Although the cases for the three were at different stages of appeal, the court ruled that a new hearing be held simultaneously.

    We STILL Need Your Help!

In the coming months there will be additional DNA testing, new forensic and DNA experts brought into the court, new witnesses interviewed and prepared to testify and even further field investigations undertaken to obtain additional evidence of their innocence.

The cost to gain the freedom for Damien, Jason and Jessie is staggering. While attorneys are working pro bono, the money the defense needs to prepare this case could easily reach hundreds of thousands of dollars. Please consider making a contribution now and tell your friends and others interested in this case to help us if they can.

I was thinking things will start to roll in March, but now I see the nearest date is October. It takes so long.

Yeah, the police and detectives involved in the case at the time have to get their vacations in before there ass turns to grass and goes up in flames--if they finally decide to clear their consciences that is--bastards.

Yeah, I was just reading about this.

Judge David Laser has called for up to three weeks of a continuous hearing between October 1, 2011 and December 15, 2011 in Jonesboro. Specific dates will be given to the attorneys within two weeks.

The judge also ordered that requests for DNA testing be made by motion within 15 days of the order issued March 15, 2011. He asked that all DNA and forensic testing ordered by the court to be completed and back in the court within 90 days. Concerning the juror misconduct issue, Laser asked attorneys and prosecutors to submit briefs by May 1, 2011.

The next 6 months are going to be intense, and critical for all concerned.....
