9.01.00 Camden has a great version. It seems like the 2000 tour has a bunch of great versions of Better Man.

Hard to say which is the best ever but this one indeed is fantastic! Amazing to hear a band walk onstage and have the whole crowd take over until the second verse plus the call and response bit later after Ed announces, "Hello Sydney....etc" is proper goosebump material. Give us a tour!!!

  • i am biased because I was at this show and the crowd was awesome. I think this show is a little known gem. You can see the smile on his face, he seems to be enjoying himself and playing with the crowd. There is no tag to make it "special" but I love it. Oh, yeah I almost forgot, he even puts 8 windmills at the end! I know you can't hear that on the song but I was the experience... :D

Mate, you have good taste. The whole concert was magic man. I was there, and to this date, it gives me goosebumps. I'm going to listen to the whole boot now while I re-start an assignment.

Yup. All other versions pale in comparison to this one. Possibly my #1 Pearl Jam moment in 20 years and 18 shows. Goosebumps.

Memphis in 2000 was good too. The boot doesn't do it justice. He ends on a crazy powerful line and they pulled the faders back. But in person it shook the pyramid.
