Yellow Ledbetter On Saturday Night Live?

I have what I think may be a false memory of Pearl Jam playing Yellow Ledbetter on Saturday Night Live about 14 years ago or so. I could be wrong on the time frame, or if it was even played at all on any of their tv appearances anywhere. I don't know why I have that stuck in my head, I just know that whatever it was, it was the first time I had ever heard the song, and I was hooked from then on. I figured if anyone would be able to answer this once and for all it would be the people in here. haha

Unfortunately LedBetter was never played on SNL.
It's hard to imagine the song being any more popular than it already is...But if they played that one on SNL back in the day it probably would have been their biggest hit and a really good TV moment as well.

I believe that was the first time they'd ever licensed their music that way.

That's because Jen and Brad are huge fans if I remember correctly.

In '92 they played Alive and Porch

In '94 they played Not For You, Rearviewmirror, and Daughter (the only time a musical guest played three songs.....further proving how awesome Pearl Jam is). Also, Operaman professed his love for Eddie through an Even Flow parody.

In '78, the Stones played Respectable, Beast of Burden and Shattered.
I think that was the first time anyone ever played three.

The second episode of the first season... Paul Simon performs 8 songs, either solo, or with Art, or other support...

    http://snltranscripts.jt.org/75/75b.phtml

Springsteen did 3 in '92 and REM did 3 when promoting Monster.

I have been to several SNL's including the PJ "06" the played 2 songs that night. When I was there when Bon Jovi hosted he played like 2 or 3 songs but the Foo Fighters played as well which was really cool. Im hoping for another PJ or Eddie solo for SNL this season but prob not..

    Why Vertigo twice?

I think it was Vertigo, Sometimes You Can't Make It On Your Own, and then I Will Follow to close the show.
